Quick and easy check in, clean, and a continental breakfast. The best part though was the proximity to the beach.

This is not a pretentious place, but its the best hotel of its type that I've stayed at.

“New and clean can't ask for more”

The hotel looks like it just got renovated. There is new carpet, new countertops in bathroom, very clean and the best of all is that it's at walking diatance to vons. It has a fridge and microwave. daily housekeeping. You have to take freeway tho to go legoland, but this is only one exit away very close.

room was clean and comfortable...close to the beach and restaurants.....had both frig and microwave. Just muffins and coffee for breakfast

“Easy Access Inn”

Great service at the front desk. Cheap, clean and a nice little room. Cable and a fridge with super-freezing powers. What more could you ask for? Maybe a jacuzzi. But that's about it.

“Great Hotel”

As other reviewers have said, it is an older property but the rooms are very nice. There is noise from the freeway, but not enough to disturb us. I think this was a great value and we'd definately stay here again.

“Would certainly reserve a room for a return trip”

The only thing I would consider surprising was the fact that we didn't have in-room coffee service. It was not a major inconvenience, but it was something I'd ever experienced before. The hotel staff were all very helpful and polite. The rooms were reasonably price the location was very convenient. All in all I would give this hotel 4 1/2 stars.

“Beach Exploration Headquarters!”

This was the perfect hotel for exploring local beaches--Carlsbad, Oceanside, and Torrey Pines State Beach! The room was up-to-date and clean. Our queen bed was comfortable. We appreciated the microwave and fridge. Lots of cable channels, and the wi-fi worked well. Breakfast was sparse--danishes, fruit, coffee, juice. No boiled eggs, cereal, milk, or waffles.

“Nice hotel, low price”

Yes, it is right next to the freeway. And yes, the freeway noise can be heard from the room if you listen to it. Still, the location is very convenient and a short drive to Tamarack Beach/Carlsbad downtown. If you need a short stay in the area and are planning to spend little time in the room and can bear up very slight background freeway noise while sleeping, this hotel is a very nice option considering price vs. convenience/comfort/cleanliness trade-off for the area hotels.
