“Great location...easy to get to and from”

Great location for a flying visit to Sydney. Easy to get to and from the air port, and around the city. Nice quiet road and hotel. Fantastic view from the roof top pool area, only shame was that it was too cold to enjoy a swim

“Less than I expected”

I read all the other reviews befor booking his hotel, and had certain expectations, none of which were met. At check in, which was early afternoon, the young receptionist, who was polite, and accomadating, never gave a smile once, it was clear that she would rather be some where else. I booked a twin room, on arrivale in the room, i discovered a queen size bed, back to reception to have this rectified, they sent some one up to " UNZIP " the 2 single beds, the most uncompfortable i've ever slept in, called down to reception to get more pillows, which never arrived, called down to get more coffee cups, which never arrived, service at this hotel is none existant, the food in medioce, and so overpriced, the location is ok, next to a lovely park, and not to far from public transport, how ever the roof top pool was beautiful, with lovely views of the harbour, when I go back to sydney, i won't be staying here again, as you can get much better for the money, the one thing above all else that let's this hotel down is the lack of service, there just isn't any what so ever.

Area recommendations

take bus and/or water taxi from cirqular quay to watsons bay, bondi beach and maly. train station is really close for all else.

“Good hotel for the money”

This was a great hotel for the money, but, a poor location to the main sites. The train station was also a good distance from the hotel. It was also located close to the King's Cross area, which is known as the "red light district" in Sydney. During the day this area is okay to pass through, but, at night you would want to avoid. This area is also where the train station is located. Taxi cabs are approximately $15.00 Australian for a ride to Syndney or Darling Harbour. I would stay there again if money were an issue, because it was clean and we were not in the rooms much.

Area recommendations

I would recommend the area of the Rocks, Darling or Sydney Harbour area.

Getting there

I doubt I would go back just to Sydney, we saw everything there was to see in 4 days. But, we did not venture out of the city.

“Good Hotel for the prize”

This Hotel in Sydney was very cheap, bellow the average and the quality was average, so it is a good deal.

“not impressed”

We requested a king bed online and at reception then we got to our room there were two single beds so I went back to reception and they said they would send someone up to put them together. When the person arrived they had single sheets so he had to go back and get the king sheets. This was frustrating as we were waiting on them so we could get ready to go to dinner. Never order food!! We wanted to order wedges but they didnt have sour cream so we ordered chips that took 45mins to arrive and were burnt so we couldnt eat them and the hotel still charged us. We also ordered breakfast that never arrived. We wasted half our day waiting and all they could say was sorry.

“Policies trump comfort, convenience, and logic.”

Is there anything else you can think of that you could possibly need to make you stay better... so that we can provide it with much difficulty and overcharge? That's the exact impression I had, as I left this hotel, and I have been traveling (this particular trip) for a month throughout Australia. It really took me by surprise, actually. Sorry to say it, cause i rarely do... I do not recommend that you stay there.

“Lovely Hotel”

I really enjoyed this hotel. Contrary to other reviews I had read prior to staying saying that 'it was too far away from everything'. I would have to disagree! The parks and Kings Cross are very close and the Bus stop is right outside the doors. The room was clean. Only thing I missed was an Ipod connection and I think free Wi Fi would have been handy. Otherwise I had no complaints. Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly.

“Nice, but.”

Gorgeous rooftop pool. Sadly wasn't able to enjoy it as they took it down for repair at the end of Spring (early December). Was a real shame. Room was comfortable and adequate. TV & In-room entertainment was okay. Hotel was close to CityRail service, but was a uphill walk from either Kings Cross or Edgecliff. Definitely recommend Edgecliff, plus easy access to a supermarket, pharmacy and other stores.
