“Wonderful setting, great service”

This is an outstanding resort to stay at. Their service was great. They provided shuttle service from the train station, to the cruise port. The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Located on the high hills above the port it gives fantastic views and quite time. Do not be discouraged by the remoteness. They provide and excellent shuttle service available upon request. This is not your typical pre/postcruise hotel but one which gives all a chance to recover for the long travel. There is a restaurant on site with a good local menu. All the meals are excellent. We enjoyed lunch and dinner a la carte and a good buffet style breakfast. The rooms were rustic but comfortable. The hotel is located in the country so expect the country experience. There is a herd of cattle close by, but they didnt bother us.

“Wonderful Location!”

Tenuta dell Argento is a wonderfully quite setting overlooking the port of Civitevechia. Philpo was very gracious when we arrived at 10:00 am after our cruise. We rested and our rooms were ready by 10:20. The pool was very clean and refreshing. A nice breeze seemed to always be there. Picturesque can not describe how breathtaking the views are. You will just have to see it for yourself. We will definetly stay at Tenuta again! This is a place you do not want to miss....you can stay at this location and take the train into Rome. Highly reccommended!!!

“A pleasant place to stay before a cruise.”

We needed a hotel where we could stay for one night before a mediterranean cruise. I chose Tenuta del Argento because it had the best reviews. It was fine. The beds were perfectly comfortable, if not a bit firm. My one big complaint is that the AC in our room did not work that well and it was very hot out. The views were amazing. The food at the restaurant was fine. Not excellent, but for the most part perfectly acceptable. I know that they raise their own cattle, but I did not think that the steak there was any great shakes. My son ordered a hamburger and it tasted really wierd. What was good were the pasta dishes and the assorted hors d'oeuvres. The pool area, where we spent several hours the next day, was very comfortable and nice. The hotel provided a free shuttle to the port which was very convenient.
