“Great Hotel, but please don't let the locals (nationals) rent rooms there they ruin everything”

Great hotel, great service, clean rooms, the view was out of this world, Please don't let the locals in!!!!! They are ruining the hotel during the weekends. Beach was good, but to many stones, if you go take beach shoes with you so you can go into the water, warm water and clean water. Harrold the cook very good person. The front desk very helpful, they need a printer at the internet place. Overall I will recomended if they get rid of the locals on the weekends.

“Absolutely the best place ever!”

The staff was extremely nice, there were people there entertaining you 24/7 so we never got bored. There were so many activities to do and constant non-stop fun!! The food was great at the buffet. THis is really a great vacation spot! I have recommended it to everyone!

“Good bang for the buck”

Extremely friendly staff. Not much English spoken though. Food is pretty good but the beaches are not the best. Remember here is still the Atlantic Ocean, not the Caribbean. A kid friendly hotel. Beware of the European topless middle aged sunbathing women. I would recommend this to anyone.

“Wonderful place to stay for relaxing vacation”

The resort was wonderful. Rooms were clean and roomy. The staff was vey friendly and helped you immediately. The grounds and scenery were beautiful with a lot of walking trail on and land and by the beach. The beach was was warm and calm, even though there were rocks in the Atlantic. It did not stop you from lounging in the water. There was plenty of food to eat at all buffets. I enjoyed the Carribean variety. This vacation met our needs to have a super relaxing week. I would certianly consider returning to this resort.

“Extremely impressed with Riu Bachata and Expedia”

Can't say enough about this vacation. My wife, two children (both ages 7) and I were extremely satisfied. The resort (and two adjacent Riu resorts) were spotless. The staff was constantly cleaning. The food was wonderful. All tastes were covered. We reserved a junior suite. It gives you more room for a little extra money. The beaches were adequate. Lots of coral and shells due to the reef. Take water shoes. All three beaches offer sun and shade with palm trees. The Bachata has the best pool. All pools get crowded. They frown on saving lounge chairs with towels or personal items. But, we never had a problem doing this. I saved two chairs at 7:30AM each morning. Many geckos around the pool. The kids loved them! There's a terrific bar within the pool as well. The bartending staff was terrific. Tip them and they are your friends. Entertainment throughout the day was perfect. The kids enjoyed it. They enjoyed the shows at night. They may get a bit risque at times. One caveat - the AC in the rooms. It is adequate. But the ocean breezes at night made up for it. As for Expedia - they have everything arranged to perfection. I never used them before. But, I will now! Expedia provides a local representative who is available at all times by his cellphone. The 3 Riu resorts offer an inexpensive wounderful vacation. Enjoy the trip from the airport to the resort! LOL
