“Suitable CBD Hotel”

The place provides everything you need, ensuite, double bed and within walking to the CBD. No denying that it needs an update.

“First disappointment with an Expedia booking”

The location was ideal. However the hotel room needed a lot of sprucing up. It was difficult to communicate with the staff. Only 2 towels and a bathmat were supplied, no washers, handtowel or toiletries apart from soap. And the line to reception did not work.

“ok Stay”

The room was ok but we were woken at some ridiculous hour of the morning and there seemed to be construction or work being done in the hotel. Actually some work was right next door to us. We really should have asked for a refund but didn't want to be a bad sport. The price of the stay overnight too is very misleading for an extra $30 on top of the cost of the room is for parking. The website says there is parking available but mention of a cost or what the cost is. We almost snapped our aerol off our ute for the roof in the parking area is very very low. I'm very happy that we did't bring our 4wd to Perth. Finally we order a taxi to take us to a wedding which was 25minutes late so we missed the ceremony (this is not the hotels fault# but the taxi company explained that taxi do not like stopping at The New Esplanarde for it's very hard to stop at and get back into the flow of traffic cos' it's so busy along the front of the hotel. I hate giving bad feed back with out any constructive suggestions - so - I think that it should state the cost of the parking and the hieght of the vehicles that can park there. Notify guests that there is going to be work happening at the hotel or drop the price of accommodation as compensation. Although the room was reasonably clean, alot of patch up work has been done in bathrooms #not asthetically pleasing# and sort something out with taxi companies about where they can pull in to pick up guests or let guests know about closests taxi rank.

“Stay, only if desperate”

My room had two bed rooms one with a double bed and two single beds in the other. They appeared to be reasonably clean. The problems I encountered were a bed that seemed like it was made out of wood planks, it was that hard. The ducted airconditioning was set very cold and as the temperature adjustment was missing, it could only be turned on or off, so I spent my time switching it on and off. The door lock didn't seem to be very secure and the little chain on the door wouldn't stop anyone getting in. The only good thing about the room was that it had a very strong shower spray, however the bath where the shower is located didn't have any anti-slip mats and I had to be very careful not to slip over. The location, might be in the city, but it's at least a kilometer walk to get to some food outlets, the hotel doesn't provide any room service or have a restraunt. Apparently there's a cafe around the corner where you can get breakfast, I had to check out reasonably early and didn't get a chance to see if it was open. I was insulted and annoyed that I had to leave a deposit for possible room damage, which is not refunded for a number of days.
