“great value for money”
This is a basic hotel room, but has all that is necessary - comfortable bed, good shower, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location - walking distance to the Louvre and shopping precinct. It is a small room (which is to be expected in Paris) with heavy drapes and a quiet location. We caught the Eurostar from London, then a bus from Gare du Nord which dropped us just outside the hotel - couldn't be easier. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.
“Great choice, plan to return.”
Great location near bus,metro...quiet. Friendly staff, good room, great bathroom. Will be going back soon.
“Would definitely go back”
Good value for price - a good breakfast to start the day. Excellent location. Only point to consider is the lift is very small and takes a bit of getting used to (it fits one maybe two people).
“Great location in central Paris”
Great little small hotel in an unbeatable location on two Metro lines and near several useful bus routes. Also within a few minutes walk of main department stores in one direction and interesting antiques/bookshops in the other. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel had email facilities in the lobby. My double room for single use was reasonably spacious and had a very nice, recently refurbished bathroom with shower. Excellent value for money!
“A budget hotel that offers excellent value”
Don't be too put off by the reception when you arrive - it's not pretty. However, this hotel offers good value, is in an excellent location near a Metro station and is in a good area for the shops. The rooms were small but very clean with comfortable beds. Staff on reception spoke English and were friendly and helpful. The lift is tiny - bedrooms are spread over six floors so if you have a mobility problem, this hotel may be difficult for you. Recommended if you are on a budget.
“great location with nice room”
great location, big room and friendly staff. free wifi..highly recommended
“Good location and comfortable!”
I enjoyed staying at the hotel, though the room is somehow dark and bathroom is small. But those could be acceptable when you consider the price. The room is quite clean and people are nice and friendly.
“A fine, good-value Parisian hotel in the 'real' Paris”
No surprises - very small rooms but they were clean, as was the bedding. And the elevator IS small - big enough for a couple of people or their luggage but not both. But that's what travelling is all about. Excellent location - within walking distance to both the Louvre and Montmartre. Both good walks and excellent for getting the feel of where and how real Parisians live and shop. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Excellent value.
“Much, much, better than expected”
For this money I was expecting something old, damp and not very comfortable - as is the norm in Paris. Location is just where we wanted. What we got was slightly bigger rooms than the norm (still small though),quality beds, plenty of storage, a decent shower, lots of hot water, a fee-free safe.We didn't try the breakfast as we prefer to explore eateries when in Paris.
“Excellent Staff! Great Location! Good Value for the money.”
The best part of our stay is the friendly, polite and helpful staff. The lobby is cozy and charming. The overall condition of the hotel is good. The room was small, but well appointed, the bed firm but comfortable, the pillows soft and fluffy. The bathroom was clean and spacially adequate. Our room overlooked the street with floor to ceiling window offering great sunlight throughout the day. There was no iron in the room, but one was promtly provided upon request along with extra hangers. Continental breakfast served in the cozy dining area was basic; bread, croissant, butter, jelly, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice; much more than you can expect from a cafe for the same price. The location is great, very central with walking access to all the major attractions and neighborhoods. There is a bus stop almost at the front door of the hotel and 2 major metro lines 1 to 2 blocks away. The neighborhood seemed safe, is mostly a business area so kind of quite at night, but in walking distance to some more residental areas and lively cafe lined streets. We were easily able to walk to the Opera, Louvre, Place Vendome, Sacre Coeur, Montmatre and even Notre Dame, Latin Quarter and Saint Germain if you really don't mind walking. There is much to see along the way. If you don't expect too much from a 2 star hotel you won't be disappointed. My only con is the mustty smell of the carpet in the room which may be from rain through an open window. Also, the legendary tiny elevator is minute.
