Comfortable transportation from New Ark International Airport, clean room and helpful reception person. And it was cheaper than a hostel!!!

“Great little place to stay”

This little motel is a great place to stay if you have to or choose to spend time in NJ or NYC. The shuttle will run you to Newark Airport and the wide range of transport available there. The neighbourhood is great, mostly hard working Puerto Ricans and Brazilians and is quite safe, despite being a little run down. The motel is in the process of renewal and the owner is obviously trying to lift his star rating. His and the businesses greatest assets are a solid building, great location and dedicated staff. The place is kept very clean by hardworking and work proud housemaids. Staff in the lobby and the shuttle drivers will bend over backwards to assist you in whatever way they can. The accommodations are more than adequate for a short or long term stay. As usual the non-smoking rooms are in better shape with all the rooms well maintained and equipped with all the regular items you would expect. The only criticisms I would make are that the Wi Fi is currently a bit slow, I am informed that improvements are planned soon. Also a secure vending machine room and guest laundry would be a bonus, currently guests have to go to the front desk for ice. A great bonus however is a free breakfast at a nearby restaurant.

I loved the hotel. Its simple cheap, clean, the staff were friendly and their service was excellent. I loved the breakfast they provide at a nearby restaurant. This is a very nice hotel which is conviniently located. I will always come back here. For those complaining if you are looking for a five star hotel and service pay for it and stop whining!

“Convenient, comfortable and good value for money”

A great choice for the airport, really good value for money, free internet access and nice complementary breakfast. The shuttle bus is very handy. Room was clean and comfortable, a little dated perhaps, but everything was in good working order. Had dinner at the diner next door and found the food to be tasty and reasonably priced. Staff at both the hotel and diner were helpful and friendly and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely stay here again and recommend as comfortable and good value for money!

My stay was very comfortable, the service is excellent and there is a shuttle to take you to and from the airport. Very hospitable, I really enjoyed my stay.

This EconoLodge is probably the cheapest chain hotel near Newark International Airport. That's why we picked it, because all we wanted was a place to stay before our flights. The rooms were more than clean enough and comfortable. Importantly, the rooms are well sound-proofed, so we were not bothered by airplane noise or traffic on US 1 - 9. The shuttle to the airport ran reliably every 30 minutes, and it was only about 5 minutes away. They provide a continental breakfast which was minimal but served its purpose. The only problem we had was actually finding it, as we were driving a rental car. Newark International Airport is surrounded by a maze of roads that maybe native New Jerseyians know, but out-of-towners can easily get lost. Be sure and get good directions from the staff if you arrive by auto. If you want a fancy, new place, this hotel may disappoint. If you want value for money and a good night's sleep, it works just fine. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
