“Poor service”
Rejected to give me a 30 minutes extra time before to make check out the keep just watching you with your hands full with a lot of bags no body willing to open the door for you Poor breakfast the only good thing I like in the hotel the location.
“Nice family hotel”
The hotel was exactly what we wanted -- suite with 2 full beds, 1 sofa bed, 2 tvs, and a sizable kitchen. It was not big but nice and comfortable. The hotel was very accommodative. I booked 2 rooms and requested them to be next to each other. My request was easily granted. During our stay, there were not many supplies readily available in the room (such as shower cap, dish detergent), but they were delivered to us right away upon request. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. My only complaints were that the heater was quite loud, and that the elevator was very slow.

Excellent value for the price. Balcony rooms, penthhouse level pool and sauna, buffet breakfast included, friendly staff.

“Fair for the price”
Lousy elevators, very slow and unreliable. Parking garage very difficult to park in. Fed Ex package not delivered to me. Returned because I wasn't "checked in", but I was.

Rooms need renovation. Everything is old.Lobby is beautiful.Looks like when they renovated the lobby they forgot about the rooms!
“good night's sleep, but no food nearby”
This is a well kept, comfortable, clean hotel good for the price. Location is good. BUT there are practically no restaurants nearby; only one EXCELLENT Italian place 3 blocks away. No bar, no restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was ample.
“We love staying at Marriots”
We had a good stay here. The staff were all pleasant and helpful (even looking up info on a local site we were interested in and calling us with the info). I like the white bedcovers...shows us that it really is clean. It was two blocks to the metro for convenient travel around the city and the underground parking was good since we were there in the winter and cars were having to be moved off the streets for snow removal. The only drawback was that the room was cooler than the thermostat was set at for night time.(We just asked for more blankets...they only had one per bed.) There was a discrepancy between Expedia's price and the hotel's (because the hotel counts an 18 year old as an adult while Expedia didn't), but the hotel called us when we got home and they changed our bill to match the price Expedia gave us. The breakfast was great...lots of variety of food...definately enough to keep us going for the morning. (If you aren't used to the Canadian style sausage it might seem strange, but that's their style).
“Pleasant Stay”
We stayed at this hotel for Valentine's Day 2009, and the silent neighbourhood was a major plus. Also, the distances from downtown are not as large as many insinuate, especially if you are driving, though the underground parking is rather cramped. Great lobby area with a fireplace, and the breakfast was well worth it. The 1-bedroom suite was also quite comfortable. Superb value for money, and I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Montreal.
