“Really great experience except for check-in procedure.”
Loved hotel with exception of check in process. Was dropped off at hotel by airport ground transport to find office located 1 1/2 mile away. Had to bum a ride. Really awkward.
“A fun community at Hale Kai O Kihei”
We stayed in a ground floor unit. It was great to just open the slider and walk out to the lawn and beach. The grounds are well maintained. The units have everything you need provided. The pool is smaller than most but very nice. Shopping and a large grocery store are within short walking distance. Breaching humpback whales could be seen from our livingroom! The hotel is a condo and many of the tenants are owners or visitors who stay for an extended time. These folks are very friendly and helpfull. Many of them know each other and have formed a great little community. We will definately return to the Hale Kai O Kihei
“Very Nice Condo”
We were very pleased with the 1 bedroom condo in a smaller, older complex on the beach in Kihei. The condo was very nicely furnished and had all the cooking equipment that we needed to fix a diner party for 10 people. The complex has 2 gas grills available for use and a swimming pool. There is a grocery store within walking distance. Our condo had a small washer and dryer, which came in very handy and a dish washer. I heard that not all the condos have a washer/dryer, but the complex does have a coin washer and dryer available. The condo has air conditioning in the living room and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The trade winds were not blowing for part of our stay, so the bedroom was pretty hot,. On a positive note, the condo is very quiet, we did not hear any noise from our neighbors. We would definitely stay here again.

“Ideal Honeymoon Setting”
This condo complex is right on the ocean. We went here on our honeymoon, after comparing the many options available via Expedia. I chose this complex because it said "Oceanfront" rather than "Ocean View". Most of the other complexes in Kihei are either across the street or angled weird. This complex is angled straight on the ocean, and only the lawn separates you from the water. I was a little trepid knowing that each unit is individually owned. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as decor and cleanliness. I prayed that it would be perfect, since this was my honeymoon, and it was. Right from the moment we walked in the door, everything was just wonderful. We enjoyed eating on the lanai almost meal for our 9-day stay. We saw some of the most beautiful sunsets here. The kitchen is fully stocked. We especially noticed the wine opener. We visited with the manager for several minutes one day. He recommended some of the beaches that we enjoyed. You can go swimming in the ocean right at the condo, but the beaches are better, especially for snorkeling.
“Would definitely stay here again”
Location was ideal, just grass and some palm trees between our condo and the beach. The condo was not fancy, but perfectly adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the shower was newly tiled, and the view from the balcony was absolutely lovely. Instructions for after hours check in were a bit confusing, but we eventually got our key. Also had some trouble locating the condo building as the street is not named on all the maps, so be sure you have that down before your arrival. We had a great stay and would definitely choose this place again.
“Perfect location”
Perfedt location - you can hear the ocean all day/night. I frequently came back just to lounge in yard or walk the beach or swim. I used the roll out bed in the living area so I could hear the waves at night and it was not comfortable Otherwise, everything was fine - quiet, close enough to walk to grocery store. Not a lot of 'nightlife' around but I didn't need or want that.
“Best travel experience with Hale Kai O Kihei!”
I spent 5 days in Maui and the hotel room gave me fantastic comfort and easy access to the surrounding parks and beaches. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. For this price, I never expected so much like this and it couldn't be beat IMO! Full kitchen is a plus also!
“Great place”
Great place! Our unit had everything we needed. Amazing view, friendly neighbours. We cannot wait to go back. It was our first trip to Maui, and next time I would stay in the same place without doubts. All our family felt like home.
