“Good value, very good service”

For a one night stop only, needed something that was good value and of a good standard and this was exactly that. The staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and well catered, although the beds were pretty firm. The breakfast was very good and all in all it exceeded our expectations. Would definately stay again if in the area.

“Quiet and efficient”

The hotel has easy parking and is ideal for a business traveler who doesn't need a lively bar. Very close to John Lewis, Sainsbury,Marks and Spencer superstores. We always stay here even though the TVs are poor and should be upgraded. The rooms are a good size thanks as its previous life as part of the hospital.

“Good Place To Stay If Flying From Manchester”

Just right for overnight stay prior to flying from Manchester - good proximity to airport. We have stayed here 3 times before which speaks for itself will use again when travelling from Manchester.

“Lovely pre-holiday stay”

Stayed 1 night prior to an early morning flight and were greeted with a warm welcome from the helpful female receptionist,we felt instantly at home. We were very pleasantly surprised at our spacious and spotlessly clean rooms. The bathroom was also very clean & light with two opening windows. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel's restaurant - 2 courses for £15. The service was very good and our meals were lovely. We coud not fault our stay at this hotel. It was great value for money and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

“Convenient but could be very much better”

The stay did not get off to the best of starts as the hotel 'lost' my reservation. It was fortunate that it was early in the week and that rooms were available, and to be fair the reception staff did handle the problem professionally, and my rate as it appeared on my copy of the reservation which I fortunately had was honoured. I was apparently upgraded but the room appeared pretty standard to me. You need to be aware that the hotel is very close to the end of the runway at Manchester Airport and there is a lot of noise from aircraft taking off. This is not a problem with windows shut - though you are aware of noise - but if it is hot it is not an option to have windows open. The hotel website does explain the airport noise but you might want to bear it in mind. Service in the restaurant was indifferent at breakfast, with my order for tea being forgotten. Cobwebs were apparent in corners of the restaurant and there was dust on the cills in my room so it could be better. I am not fussy but this was below the standard I would expect. The room was comfortable though, public areas were comfy and drinks were avaible in the foyer. I had a good deal on my two night stay so I would say it was just about reasonable for what I paid. It could be so much better though, from the reservation mix up, cleanliness issues and indifferent service it is clear that some investment in staff management is required.
