“A relaxing place to stay, in the heart of Hollywood”

This place is a real gem. It's a short walk from the Kodak Theatre, but in a peaceful setting a world away from the busy tourist streets. Wonderful views over LA from your private balcony. A huge outdoor swimming pool, which we had to ourselves. Excellent room, cheerful reception, and (for the USA) a good breakfast.

“Excellent location and views”

You can't beat this hotel for the location and views. From the pool and apartments you can see Downtown LA, Beverly Hills and the Hollywood sign. The main Hollywood Blvd is about a 3-5min walk away and the hotel is very close to the famous Chinese Theatre. Rooms are a good size and well equipped with a little kitchen and tv's in the lounge and bedroom. They are slightly dated and tatty, but this was completely overshadowed by the plus points! Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

“Hollywoods Best”

The Staff here were just the friendliest, their service was second to none, by far the best experience I've ever had. The hotel itself has the best location a great base camp for LA. Being up in the hills gives you the best views and the comfort of the rooms is amazing I honestly couldn't imagine stopping anywhere else. I've been to LA for the past 3 years now so for anyone trying it out for the first time don't look any further than this hotel start off with the best!

“Fabulous View with peaceful accomodations!”

The staff was nice & friendly! They had a miniature chocolate cake from a local bakery and a bouquet of balloons for my husband's birthday waiting for us upon arrival! Great Surprise! The room & balcony were huge! The view was spectacular: you could see downtown LA, all of Hollywood and even the Hollywood sign on the hill! No noice here either - very private! Free goodies as well: sodas & snacks upon our request! The walk to the Hollywood Bowl was about 15 minutes through very hilly streets... a workout! Continental Breakfast @ Magic Castle offered a nice variety of cereals, fruit, drinks, pastries. My husband and I are still talking about how perfect the accomodations were and are already planning our next trip to stay here! Would definately recommend to everyone!

“Great place to stay”

Don't forget that you check in at the Magic Castle hotel, and if you haven't got a car, you'll need to climb a reasonably steep hill, but when you get there the view is fantastic. The hotel really is only 5 minutes walk from the walk of the stars, and the chinese theatre, where many of the bus tours start. Really convenient.

“Ready to Return!”

OK, so the hotel was run-down and very 60's, but the staff were great as were the views. The best part was the restaurant on top of the hill. There was this awesome patio overlooking the city. The evening was warm and clear and we enjoyed our drinks while watching a huge orange full moon rise. The food was spectacular too. By booking the room, we also were able to get into the Magician show which was well worth it.

“was just fine”

This hotel is on the side of a hill overlooking LA. We did not have the upgraded room, so we did have a tree blocking our view of the city from the balcony. But the ad on expedia said that might be true, so we expected it. But we had a great view of the hillside, and LA when coming in and going out. Room had a small kitchen with everything we wanted; coffee maker etc. It was clean and had a comfy bed. They even gave us snacks and drinks from a menu, upon arrival, so we were shocked. Also there is a lovely restaurant adjacent with fabulous views and you can walk there from your room. Note: you check in at a hotel of a different name at the bottom of the hill; I think it is called Majic Hotel or something like that.

“Impeccable customer service”

The best customer service I have ever experienced, one block walk from Hollywood Blvd, great views, great amenities the list just goes on! Seriously the best hotel I have ever stayed at for a seriously reasonable price!
