“Dingy & Noisy Hotel”
The Hyde Park Towers Hotel was old & dingy. The carpets were pretty gross & there appeared to be significant water damage in the hallway. I'm allergic to down pillows & there was only 1 non-down pillow in the entire hotel, BUT it smelled like smoke. I decided it was cheaper to buy a pillow than change hotels. There were a ton of noises outside and from other rooms that could be clearly heard in my room -- I did not a have a good night's sleep for any of the 5 nights that I was there. Despite the lackluster accommodations, the staff was very nice!
“Undergoing Renovations however Small,clean Rooms”
When I arrived, I noticed that half of the Hotel was undergoiung renovations, which scared me a little. However I did not hear any construction works whatsoever. It appears that the hotel is undergoing a facelift and that would benefit this Hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
“It was nice but...”
The hotel staff was amazing, but the location was not that great. It was only a few blocks away from an underground station and only a few blocks away from some very nice shoping, but it seemed hidden along a side street and if you are wanting to visit the historal areas of London, I would recomend staying closer to downtown. The travel time by undergound and bus was about 35 min. to downtown. The beds in this hotel are some of the best beds I have ever slept on but everything else seemed dirty. The carpets needed to be replaced a long time ago and two of the power outlets no longer worked.
“great location not so great hotel”
The staff on recption were very helpful. The bed inthe room was comfortable. the room was extremly small and not very clean. The bathroom was terrible. Small ,dirty and if you turned the water above a trickle the shower head fell off. The location was excellent.
“Not impressed”
The location is good, with subways 2 blocks away from hotel. The first night we arrived very late and they gave us a horrible room in the underground floor (room 16). It was so tiny we couldn't open our luggage! The morning after we asked for a better room and they gave us a very nice one on the second floor. During our 2 days stay we witnessed 3 different guest asking for a room change. The sheets and pillows were new and very nice and crisp, the bathroom was very clean but the carpets in both rooms and in the hallways were disgustingly filthy.
“great location, friendly helpful staff, excellent value for the money”
this is the 3rd time we stayed here. location is fantastic.. closs to West End theater and shopping ,entertainment at Regent/Oxford Street and Piccadilly . Easy to use Tubes and the #94bus.. great cocktail bar on site... friendly local pubs... EXCELLENT value for the money !!
“Great location, and would stay again when I go back.”
Staff was great and helpful. Location was right by two tube stops. Won't be upset if you stay at this hotel.
“Wouldn't go back...”
Really awful.
