“would stay there again.”
we were very happy with this hotel, there is no elevator here but when we booked the room we requested a ground floor room and we were pleased to get one. The american breakfast we has was fine one of the better ones we had whilst travelling. staff were friendly and the service was very good.
“Convenient Location, Family-Owned, which is a good thing”
VERY small but clean, family owned (good thing because it had excellent hotel service and workers were very nice and friendly), tour services, convenient location, I would recommend it. Only problem was the bathroom...it was smaller than a trailer park bathroom. It had no air ventilation, and there was a LOT of mold on the walls. Plus, since there was no air ventilation, it smelled really bad due to the moldy tiles and walls. Needs renovation!
“Buy-does what it says on the tin.”
For the money and location with breakfast thrown in (£44/-) this is a really good buy.
“Well placed, budget hotel”
Minutes from Euston, St Pancreas and Kingscross stations. Our room was very clean but very compact with doublebed pushed upto wall just room for 1 bedside cupboard, hanging space with shelf above held extra bedding. TV mounted on to side of hanging space. No room for a chair. Windows opened which was a god send as even without heating, room got very hot at night. Bathroom tiny yet functional Breakfast choice cereal, orange juice, full English or Continental, toast, butter and assorted jams plus drinks, served by a charming and attentive waitress. The staff we saw were all polite and friendly. Pay by either cash or debit or incur 5% service charge for credit card. We got use to the small room and would return.
“Good local but small room”
Excellent position for Eurostar. We had a small basement room which was filled with a double and single bed. You had to climb over the single bed to get to the bathroom as it was blocking off the doorway. The room had a very strong smell of bleach.
“Good value for a budget hotel. Sufficient comfort.”
Very good value for a budget hotel. breakfast and wif included. central, close to st pancras station. bed very comfortable. rooms small but acceptable for the price,.
“Ideal for a short stay”
Perfectly acceptable for a short stay, especially if you are out on the town. Convenient location to Kings Cross station
“handy for Kings Cross / Eurostar”
for the price it was fine although it was difficult to sleep until the tubes stopped running as im sure the line ran straight under the house
“Not what you pay for”
This hotel is in a great location but thats it. Matchbox room with the bathroom in a converted closet. No soap or shampoo. Lobby was non existent and check in was unprofessional. No elevator. Breakfast staff spoke no english and we did not get what we asked for.
“Serious pest control problem”
We have been kept awake the whole night by the noise of mice rummaging in the skirting boards and under the floor. When mentioning this problem to the staff they seemed totally uninterested and made no gesture at all to help. Probably the worst night we ever spent in a hotel. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
