“Great value and friendly owners.”
We visited the Sefton as a place to stay for a family wedding and chose it as it was cheap and close to the wedding venue. The owners were really friendly and helpful. They even called us before we arrived to warn us about the roadworks and diversions. We were greeted at the door warmly and the dog is a sweetheart. Our room was clean and quite nicely decorated. I've stayed in a few Blackpool B&Bs and this one is above average yet nothing special but for the price it is great value. The breakfast was very tasty and again the owners were very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely consider it for any future trips.
“Single room Blackpool.”
Just a mile from North Pier, away from the partying of the crowds, no problem parking, on top of the bus and tram stops, A old typical friendly B&B. Single en-suite room with double bed, TV and teaa/coffee making facilities.
“Hotel was OK”
Limited parking; was not a problem as we arrived on a Thursday, but could be awkward if arriving Fri or Sat. Approx.3 minutes from the seafront and tram stop, (less if you walk quickly!). Owners very friendly as is their dog, some kind of terrier, I believe. Basic room, (we had the front bedroom, with a seaview). My wife noticed a little mould around the window, the wallpaper was peeling in a couple of places and there were damp marks on the ceiling. The worst thing, from our point of view, was the smell of cigarettes. The owners live downstairs and one or both smoke and this permeated the house; it may be as I do not smoke I noticed it more, but as we just wanted somewhere to sleep we did not consider any of the above to be a major problem. Kettle, tea, coffee, milk and bikkies waiting in the room on arrival. Small kettle. Filled up it was just enough, barely, for two cups. But that as there was only two of us that was OK. Breakfast was v. good the two days we were there; cereal, full English, toast, OJ, & tea or coffee. Would I go back? Probably not. The hotel was OK but as stated basic and I found the bed a little small and hard, but Im used to a king sized one! Also my wife & I tend to like to try different places. I believe that there is small bar in the hotel, but it may just be a lounge. In either case, by the time we got back at night it was closed. So, if you don't mind the smell of cigarettes & just want somewhere to crash after going out this isn't too bad.
“Friendly hotel”
My friend and I stayed in this Hotel, It was just for one night and we found it comfortable, we had our own shower and toilet, and this was perfectly ok for us. It may be a little dated than some others but the host is a very nice lady and does her up most best to make your stay a pleasant one. Just like the saying 'never judge a book by its cover' is how I would like to finish on this.
“Great if you want somewhere to be relaxed.”
Lorraine was lovely and very helpful but the rooms could really do with a lot of updating!!! The cleanliness and hospitality was second to none but it's just so dated. I would actually stay there again.
“blackpool”
stayed here just the 1 night very nice lady ..the room was very out dated and the furniture to if ur looking for somewhere cheap and going on a razz up this hotel would be ideal .. if ur after something update and jazzy this hotel is deffo not for you
“The pits!!!”
Do not use this Hotel! It is in a badly kept condition, smells damp, and is generally unclean. Our room had a large mouldy damp patch on the ceiling, the bathroom tiling grout was mouldy, Thank goodness we were up early and missed breakfast.
