“Very clean and good service, free parking. Fantastic location.”
This Hotel is like a classic Hotel with service and very clean. Location is fantastic close to Petronas and Beachclub cafe etc. Great price and free parking.
“Staff poorly trained to deal with "abnormal situations"”
I had several issues with staff who were poorly trained to deal with situations not in the ordinary course. Overall, they were friendly, but several miscommunications amongst them caused small glitches every now and then.
“Getting a bit dingy”
I've stayed at the hotel a few times over the years. While it's never been great, it's been OK and the location is convenient to KLCC area. It seems as if the hotel goes down in standard each time I visit. This time, the room was a bit smelly and not too clean (hair in the bathroom). And the bedding was threadbare. I don't think I'll be coming back.
“Ok for the price”
I've stayed in Kl quite a few times, and when I saw a special for the Equatorial I thought I'd give it a go. The hotel is a bit out of the Bukit Bintang central area, so expect a 10-15 min walk there or catch the monorail. Checkin and out were a bit slow, but in the end everything went smoothly. Was a bit annoyed the wall socket at the table was broken and had to use the table lamp socket instead. The bed was comfortable, room was a decent size. All in all I was pretty happy with the hotel. I don't think I'd stay at the hotel again, as it's just not that conveniently located.
“Perfect Hotel”
This was a great hotel, the price was excellent. It is downtown Kuala Lumpur very close to the Twin Towers and the KL Tower. The SkyTrain is at the corner of the hotel. Walking distance to tall the shopping area such as the big mall, Pavilion, Lot 10 and many many more. The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, fantastic gym with steam room and sauna, nice pool. I would definitely stay there again.
“Good choice in KL”
This is a nice hotel, in fact it is an apartment with complete kitchen, so it is very useful with you need to prepar some sandwish or fastfood by yourself. I stayed there just for two nights, I can't say much. The breakfast is include in the rate but is not worth due to you have little choice of food.
“Best place for a stop over to revive yourself”
This hotel was such a treat. We were traveling from Perth to Ireland, and took a one night stop in KL. The service was impecable. The room was large, clean, comfortable and had everything you could ask for in a modern hotel. It was even a novelty that we could see the Petronas Towers from our room. The swimming pool was a great way to unwind, the gym and spa facilites were a great extra and all the staff were so helpful and gracious. Upon check out they recommend how we sight see for the day, then before our evening flight we were offered the chance to change a and shower after our days outing, which realy made a difference before a long flight. I would deffinalyy stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
“great :)”
It was good value for money. Good service. Great Location Clean environment.
“great place to stay”
Hotel is an easy walk to everything The pool is great. plenty of places to eat at night whether you want to eat at the street places or not far from there is a street that has great places to eat and the bars and night life is all there it is full of expats. Take a ride on the mono rail you get to a lot more of KL and is cheaper than a taxi. To avoid the expense of a taxi to the airport and get that extra sleep time go to KL Central there you can check in and get the express train to yhe airport. We've done this twice and its a great way to avoid airport ques.
“Good for the most part but needs better Internet in rooms”
Very good, central location, just a short walk from Skytrain stop. WiFi signal on my 9th floor room wasn't strong enough for access. But it would have been pricey, anyway. Their business center was closed for 3 days due to a holiday. Strange, given that this place wants international business guests. Overall, though, a good stay. One of the best hotel deals in its neighborhood, the Equatorial offers clean and well-appointed rooms and professional staff that tries hard to please.
