“Ideal Oceanis”
Located on the road west out of Kos town, just 10 minutes on a regular local bus service, Oceanis has an excellant beachfront location. The beach is pebbled rather than sandy but with grass banks and plenty of loungers its not a problem. All the staff were really very friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was good, despite being almost at the end of the season. Really good selection of food so the all inclusive deal makes for a very good package. Entertainmant was winding down as it was the end of the season but what there was was good fun. It was a couples/adults only hotel with a very European mix, English, German, French, Italian and Scandinavian's all there whilst we were - but - no fighting over loungers at the two pools - there are plenty to go round. I would recommend the taxi transfers, which the Hotel can arrange for you - takes about 30 minutes. Only note of caution - inbound Kos airport was very good arrival on stand to getting in Taxi just 15 minutes (wish Gatwick could learn that trick) but - outbound is chaotic. Its only a very small departure area and you need to watch out to make sure you are at the right gate in good time. Would we go again - absolutely.
