“great location!”
Hotel Au Pera has an excellent location! Taksim's Istiklal Cadessi is a 5 mins walk from the hotel and so is the Shishhane Metro. Pera Palace which is where Agatha Christie wrote 'Murdrer on the Orient' is 2 mins walk and Pera Mueseum is 3 mins walk. There is also a supermarket next to Au Pera so was very convenient. Stayed in the Delux Suite at Au Pera which was very comfortable and clean. Free wireless access was an added bonus. Staff were very helpful. Stayed for a week in Istanbul and Au Pera was like a home away from home.
“great hotel, great location, great staff..would totally go there again”
this hotel is great. We stayed there twice, the first time we booked a deluxe room (that was the cheapest available at the time), we were impressed with the huge size of the room, very well maintained, very clean. Location is great, surrounded by great bars, a few minutes walking to taksim square. The only downside is the streets outside are noisy, so try and book a room that isn't overlooking the street but inside. the 2nd time we stayed there, we booked in a standard room, which is half the size of the deluxe room, it was quite small, but still the same great standards. the staff are really helpful and friendly, they helped us book at different restaurants..etc. we didn't try the breakfast, but from looking at it, it seemed pretty basic. nothing over the top.

“A very comfortable and convenient hotel.”
Hotel Au Pera is a very comfortable and pleasant hotel which offers a standard of accommodation above its 3 stars. We had a deluxe room, which was comfortable, spacious and clean and had a bit of a view over the Golden Horn. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is very conveniently located close to the commercial district. and within a good walking distance of the major historical sights. Istanbul is very hilly, and the hotel is also very convenient for public transport links to other districts to ease the wear on the legs and feet. On the downside the breakfasts, although adequate, were a bit lacklustre; and on weekend nights the area is a bit noisy, but this wasn't a problem as long as the windows were closed. Generally a very pleasant hotel which I can recommend.
“Friendly Hotel”
The hotel was comfortable, very neat and pleasant. The people were very cordial and friendly. It's closeness to Thaksim area and other touristic makes this hotel ideal for tourists, business people and travelers. It's also quiet in the evenings since it's not really located in Stiklal road.
