“Tiny but totally adequate.”
The room was small but adequate. We had twin beds with a small space between them. It was clean and quiet. Being within walking distance of the subway made it very convenient for us to go into Hong Kong or out to the Big Buddha. Breakfast was not included but available at a reasonable price. We would stay here again
“Great value hotel”
Besides the internet that was significantly unstable, the hotel is of very good standard with a very caring crew. I would go there again without doubt.
“For budget friendly travelers”
Stayed in the hotel for 2 days..Good for travelers on the budget..Clean room and location is great..Staff are friendly and helpful..Dont expect big hotel room, and bathroom..Dont expect big bed and softness..But over all good experience..
“satisfied”
beyond-expectation neatness and cleaness for a small room. room size is OK given that you are ready for Hongkong scale. Not as expected when taking MTR transportation cuz the hotel is a bit out of the popular range in town and MTR is soooo expensive; but it's not the hotel's fault I guess. Would pick the Dorsett Harborview location next time if it's available.
“Small, clean, safe and decent hotel.”
Room is small, but very nice, clean and cosy. About 15-min walking distance to Ladies Market and Mong Kok MTR station. Overall, a good experience. But I was told that Dorsett Seaview has similar rooms and rates, and a lot closer to the main shopping strip. I will try Dorsett Seaview the next time.
“Will book again in the future”
Nice hotel, rooms where abit small and abit dusty. It's Hong Kong so I can't really complain. The mini-fridge in the room is not that cold. Noisy during the day time due to industrial area. Walls are a bit thin, so you will near the room next to you during the night. Good hotel service and 10-15minutes walk to ladies street markets or just take the free hotel shuttle bus out there. Two 7/11 stores around each corner, a 24hours McDonalds and a very cheap laundry service located on Tai Kok Tsui Rd. Laundry service in the hotel is expensive. Very close to Olympic MTR station. Overall, it was a good stay and it's worth what you pay. You won't staying at the hotel all day anyways in a place in Hong Kong. Will book again in the future.
“Extremely worth the price”
Dorsett Kowloon isn't the greatest of hotels, but it's the top choice for those on a budget. The rooms are small, but comfortable. In my case, I spent most of my time traveling around Hong Kong and Kowloon and only used the hotel for internet and a place to sleep; and, in such a case, it was the perfect selection. Its proximity to Olympic and Mong Kok MTR stations is extremely helpful. While Mong Kok station may be further away, the 10 minute walk is a pleasant one. The 3 minute walk to Olympic station makes travel to and from the airport extremely convenient and provides a faster alternative route to HK Island (via the Tung Chung MTR line) when the more popular Tsuen Wan MTR line is at peak hours. Furthermore, the location of the hotel is great for those who would like to experience the Mong Kok street life. My only complaint would be the price of internet and outgoing calls. The internet is at a descent price if you are using it for many hours, but if you only need an hour or two you are better off finding a WiFi hotspot. For calls, you will get better rates for your money with a prepaid phone or HK sim card than using the hotel phone. I didn't eat in the Dorsett Kowloon café during my stay, so I cannot comment on that.
“Not reccomended for tourists, or at all!”
Rooms are old Negiborhood not so great, not close to MTR Would not go back!
“I love Hong Kong”
Overall it's a good hotel. It's in an interesting neiborghhood, you will get a different taste of Hong Kong from the flashy central shopping area. I like it very much. Maybe the same reason, the staffs here seem more layback than hotels in the shopping area.
“I will find a better hotel if I would be Hong Kong”
The room is real small, but it's very clean and new. The location is very good, take only 5 minutes to the Metro and there were many restaurants near the hotel. The reception is a bit cooler, you can't get any information from them. The price is good.
