“A special place”

A lovely older hotel at the intersection of Great Western and Byres Road in the west end. It is an excellent location for us near the university and many excellent restaurants and pubs. We were there for a week and had arranged for a number of old friends to meet us at the hotel. The Terrace provided a marvelous home like atmosphere with food and drinks available and an excellent staff. Persons working at Reception were very attentive without being intrusive and also provided excellent service. We were quite sad to leave and staff members cheered us on our way, in some cases with hugs. In recent years Hilton has taken over and refurbished the hotel but it still has a Scottish feel to it.

“Great Hotel”

After reading some negative reviews of this hotel, i am so glad that i went ahead with the booking and made up my own mind. I think this is a superb hotel which met all my needs. I have stayed at others in Glasgow and this to-date has been my favourite. There are some fabulous eateries nearby and overall i have a really great time.

“AN EXCELLENT HOTEL”

This hotel is convenient for shoppinig in Byres Road, convenient to subway for getting into city centre, near Botanic Gardens and not far from SECC if you are attending a concert as we were. Overall no complaints at all. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. The staff were really helpful and pleasant and the atmosphere in the hotel was smashing.

“Very Impressed”

Very, very impressed with our stay. I recognise that Hilton may be seen as somewhat 'corporate' however I have to say that I could not fault anything about this hotel. If asked to find one thing wrong, I felt that the evening meals in the hotel's restaurant were a little on the expensive side but that really is a trivial complaint following a great stay.

Stayed at the Grosvenor Hilton before refurbishment, and now twice since. As always the staff are wonderful in every area and are a credit to themselves and Scotland. I actually overheard some American guests saying how great everything was. The Bo'vine must get a special mention. Waiting staff excellent and fabulous steaks. Since coming home to Skye we have already booked a two night stay in December and have persuaded two friends from England to also book and have a pre-Christmas break with us at the Grosvenor. Cannot wait to return to this lovely hotel, which is set in a terrific part of Glasgow.
