“pretty impressed”

We stayed for 3 nights and the hotel staff were great and the room was very comfortable and clean. Overall we thought it was great value for money however the hot buffet breakfast was absolutely terrible! Take a walk over the bridge to Chevron Island and you have a choice of 3-4 really good cafes for a much much better breaky!

Benihana japanese restaraunt in the Marriot hotel is a 5 min drive and although it was a just little bit on the pricey side it was worth every penny for the beautiful food and coctails as well as the pure entertainment value of your personal bbq chef who cooks in front of you as well as a few other tricks that you will have to go see for yourself! highly reccomended.

“Definitely a fantastic hotel to stay. Couldn't ask for a more perfect location.”

After briefly hesitating to book our stay at The Vibe Gold Coast because I thought the modern hype about it would be disappointing and descriptions to be inaccurate, I am extremely relieved to have decided to stay for 5 days in the Vibe's Aqua view room. The description of the hotel on the website were quite accurate and the room was wonderful. The Vibe's location is absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were simple but nice. I will definitely be staying at the Vibe Gold Coast in the future and will recommend to to people. We were very impressed!

“Highly recommend this hotel - refurbished older hotel, but the staff are more than fantastic.”

The hotel accommodation has been/is being refurbished and is quite comfortable, however, the outstanding feature of this Hotel is their staff. Every single staff member was happy, courteous and very helpful. Enjoyed my stay and will make this one my first choice when staying in Surfers Paradise in future. Room service was delicious and hot. Breakfast choice was good. The only negative perhaps was the fact that they are currently refurbishing the lifts which slowed things down considerably, but there are plenty of signs around explaining situation and signs to alternative lifts. All in all, highly recommend this one.

“Well located”

We enjoyed our stay in this well-located hotel. Staff were good, but on one occassion gave us incorrect information. Breakfast was cheap, and plentiful and of good quality. The lifts were under repair, which meant they were slow and frustrating. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained.

“Not impressed”

Room never vacuumed, broken lamp asked twice to be replaced, room service tray outside my door for nearly 24 hours - not moved until I asked, rubbish not removed from room, one lift undergoing maintenance - service lift available but only at certain times - walked down 10 flights of stairs as waiting 5-10 minutes for a lift ridiculous and service lift was locked Location and reception staff were excellent
