“Pretty Good, really”
Room was small, but very comfortable. The electric water pot was a lifesaver since I ate ramen almost everyday. Great location, near the JR Hakata station, which can get you anywhere around Fukuoka. Also near convenience stores and Canal City, which is a great shopping area and has fantastic restaurants. I was told my room did not have Internet, but was given it anyway. The staff was helpful and at least one person always knew English. Girasol's breakfast buffet is overpriced, but the dinner prices are reasonable.
“if i go back i would stay there again”
service was great,as anamerican and with out local language skills,I felt safe in the hotel and walking the streets, the location was ideal, in fact it could not have been better
“Fukuoka's Best Hotel !”
Simply awesome....................
“Very clean, spacious, will use same hotel next time in Fukuoka”
I have been in many hotels in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kores and used to live in places made for sailors. This hotel is really clean, safe, nice restaurants (and not expensive) . Usually 3 star Xpedia hotels are = to 2, but this one deserves 3 - 4 for sure highly recommended - for money i pad
“Good place to stay.”
Excellent location. Staff is very helpful
“Fantastic location, very nice staff”
Guest rooms are small, as is typical in Japan. But the friendliness of staff at this hotel makes up for any inconvenience of the small rooms. I recommend the larger room unless you are only one person. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is located midway between the Hakata train station and Canal City, the two prime shopping areas. From the station you can also find public transportation (subway and bus service) anywhere in the city. Fukuoka is a beautiful city, with much to see and do! The streets are safe for walking the three blocks to the station, any time day or night.
“Decent place to stay for your money”
It's pretty easy to get to from Hakata station. Some of the staff can speak English so if you don't know any Japanese that's convenient. The rooms are not big but most rooms in Japan aren't so I wasn't expecting much. The bed was comfortable. I didn't go to the restaurant, there are many convenience stores in the area. For what I paid and the location close to Hakata it was a good deal on a hotel for the night. I would stay here again.
“Great location!”
We are budget travellers, and found this hotel to be perfect for our budget. If you are a couple traveling together, this is a much better option than a hostel because it is actually cheaper, and of course a hotel, not a hostel. The room was clean, and while smaller than western standards, still adequate space. The location was fantastic! Just a short jaunt from two subway stations, and just around the corner from Koshida shrine and the largest wooden Buddha in Japan. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Simple, Good Value”
I stayed here for one night as I was in Fukuoka for a short trip to get a visa. There were definitely cheaper options, but the hotel is nice and clean and located not far from Hakata or Gion stations and right next to Canal City if you want to shop or eat at Ramen Stadium. Pros-There's a grocery store a few minutes walk away, good for saving some money on food or drinks. Free wired high speed internet in the rooms. Cons-Check-in is pretty late, 3pm. I was there at 2:15, and was told to wait until 3. Another couple came at 2:30 and were able to check in. I was then able to, but a little annoying. Wi-fi in the lobby is ok, but not in the rooms.
“Chisun Hotel Hakata”
The Hotel room is VERY small, and the bathroom is like an airplane toilet. It has all that you need for sleeping, It has no wireless. you can rent a laptop for 1,000 yen a night. There is cable TV although you have to pay extra 1,000 a night for movie channels. It was clean and was in a fairly good location about 5mins walk to the nearest subway station. Only 10mins from the airport. If your looking for a place to stay which is away from the city noise and construction then id choose another Hotel. Although it is very clean and there were no problems at this Hotel I wouldnt go back, its nothing great.
