“Good location nice quiet neighborhood”

This is very reasonable small but cozy hotel. Room on back side was small but reasonable. Shower and bathroom were clean. Walked to nice restaurant and very convenient drive to embassy area

“Great value”

The hotel is not located in the city center, but it is in a great neighborhood and the u-bahn stops only a couple of blocks away. Staff is friendly. Everything was clean and well taken care of.

“Small rooms but excellent service, breakfast and service”

Rooms a little small but the service and above all the rooms are very clean. They provide a good breakfast and all the staff at the hotel are welcoming. Good distance to the Trade fair walking distance and surrounding areas has some good resturants and bars.

“Amazing staff makes up for a so-so hotel”

The staff at the Sophien Hotel was absolutely amazing. So friendly and attentive, they made staying at the Sophien a pleasure. The hotel itself is honestly subpar, with tiny rooms, tiny TV's, tiny bathrooms, poor wireless connectivity, and no in-room wired internet (there's a wired connection in the bar but they didn't have a cable) but it served its purpose of giving me a convenient place to sleep near to the Messe.

“Best Location”

The Sophien is clean and comfortable. The rooms are bright and small. The best feature is its location. It is located close to the subway station that connects to all major lines serving the city, including the airport and main train station. The neighbourhood is filled with restaurants and markets!

“Reasonable and Conveniently located”

I was satisfied in general with the experience. There was however one problem - the expedia reservation mentioned in the reservation that the internet was free, but in reality one had to pay for it separately. The hotel webpage is also inconsistent.

“Grey & functional in Franfurt”

The hotel is walking distance from the fair but in an area almost devoid of eating places ( especially those open on Sunday) since the hotel offers a bar but no dining. The hotel infrasructure is old (lift date 1965) but in reasonable condition. The radiator has gone from the bathroom so the other radiator behind the curtain needs exposing to get a good heat throughout the room. Washing water hot at all times. Above all the location is quiet apart from the ususal supects up and down the corridor early & late but each floor has only 6 rooms. The staff was friendly, mainly Eastern European and breakfast, in spite of a relatively limited offering, was well presented in a pleasant light basement room. In short for what I needed , it met the pupose. Had I been locked in to Franfurt for a longer period by volcanic ash, I may have got disatisfied & restless especially if the meter was running at the same high fair price a day.

“Solid hotel with great service”

I travelled to Frankfurt to attend the fair and found the Sophien Hotel on Expedia. I was a little disappointed with the price, but it was only because of the fair. During non-fair times, the rooms were quite reasonable. The service was fantastic, and all of the staff greeted me by name. All in all it was a perfect place to stay for a solo traveler. I would be more than happy to stay there again when I return to Germany.

“A good night's sleep”

It was a small unassuming place that I might not normally look at, but it was very clean. The room was small and almost Spartan, but the bed was good. The breakfast and the service was excellent.

“Close to the fair, a place to sleep”

Close to Messe Frankfurt, room was cold. Bathroom floor was freezing. The room had hard cigarette smell though I requested a mone-smoking room. Breakfast is really mice and you get a complimentsry wifi as Expedia user which is nice. Nice hotel if tou need to sped a night neare Frankfurt Messe
