“Expensive”
Great service, the food was too expensive in the resturant, and the wine cost were out of control. I have to say the chef was awesome and the food was wonderful.
“Can't wait to go back!”
The Frankfurt Intercontinental was the right choice for me. Conveniently located for business and for touring the historic sites. I was hapy to be able to do both in the short three days that I was in the city. The train system is easy to use the cabs were fine but it was good weather and the walking was easy and fun. The museums are located very close to the hotel and the the river Main is one block away. There are beautiful walking and biking paths on both sides of the river and easy access to many bridges. The hotel itself had very good room and it was perfectly clean and had an operable window for very fresh air and a view to the river.
“Very Comfortable”
This it a great "American style" hotel with amenities you would expect in a better hotel in the USA. The room had a beautiful view overlooking the river. Would definitely stay here again. Only complaint is no free internet access in the room, We had to go to the lobby to be able to use free internet.
“Upmarket Hotel in Great Location”
The hotel is conveniently located, only 5 min easy walk to main train station that takes you to international airport for less than 4 euro. Taxi costs 22 euro. It has FREE WIFI in lobby. We got a choice of room with city view or river view and selected river view that looked out over boats going up and down river with people walking/jogging along river banks, sometimes in snow. Our room was clean, comfortable and came with two DUX beds that were EXCELLENT. The only thing bad with this hotel is the central heating. It was far too hot in our room. While it was 5 or 10 below zero outside our room was like an oven. When we complained we were told to leave window open !. So we did, every day all day. I later found out that management is aware they need to update central heating but have chosen to delay doing this.
“excelent in everyway”
Thou shall not be dissapointed !
“Absolutely Fabulous Hotel”
My mom and I spent one night here in August of 2009. We were travelling through Frankfurt on our way to another destination and we booked this hotel to get a good night's rest prior to catching our flight the next day. They asked us if it was our first stay at the hotel and when we replied that it was, they gave us a room upgrade so we ended up getting an executive room. The room was so comfortable we decided to stay in all morning with room service and tv. The bed and the bedding are so inviting, you'll fall asleep just looking at them. Fabulous washroom; really clean room. Couldn't ask for more. I can't really comment on the value for the price since we were upgraded for free but the price we paid for the standard room was very reasonable so getting an executive room on to p of that made it a real bargain. I will definitely stay here again and I think I'll even book the executive room at my next visit.
“A good business class hotel”
This is a large 1970's American-style hotel consising of two 20-storey towers situated on opposite sides of the street, the city tower and river tower, joined by an underground walkway . If possible you want the River tower as that is where all the hotel facilities are located. The City tower is like an annex where they book conventions and tours, but you have to walk across the street to use the restaurants, shops, fitness centre, and the front desk. there is an Italian restaurant in the city wing, but not operated by the hotel. As well another drawback is that there is no internet in the city tower rooms - you have to pay 20E per day, otherwise you can use the area in the front lobby which is a wi-fi zone. The hotel is very close to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof so unless you have a lot of luggage you can walk to the train. Behind the hotel there is a nice park along the river Main, where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine on a nice day. There is one (expensive) restaurant and a bar off the main lobby in the River tower
“Excellent for business travellers”
An efficient, friendly and extremely well appointed hotel perfect for business travellers.
“Quiet location”
Great hotel located just a short walk into the city's popular attractions, close to the river which is handy in summer as there is always activity on the river banks. A bit of a walk back from the restaurant area's especially late at night on the deserted streets of the financial district. The rougher area around the train station is close by but just far enough away not to be a problem. The rooms are fantastic and very comfortable, room service is quick (just about arrives before you hang up the phone) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is a bonus for our car, and a laundromat about 200m across the road (very handy for long term travelling). Great price too!
“Great hotel!”
The hotel and staff were all very helpful. We enjoyed staying there.
