“Economical and centrally located”
I stayed at this hotel for two nights in July. This is a small hotel located very close to the river and main sights of Frankfurt. It is only a short trip by s-bahn from the airport or main train station. The room was clean and comfortable with a fresh continental breakfast. As a low cost economy hotel, Hotel Central Frankfurt met all my expectations and requirements. I would stay here again when I am in Frankfurt.
“Good price; good management”
The hotel is located a few blocks from a metro stop, and is close to the old city (about five blocks; we walked everywhere). The hotel is located right on the river, so if you get a room on the backside, you'll have a great view. The hotel was quiet, and the staff was super-accommodating. They speak English. The only negative thing I have to say is that it is located next door to a strip club or something of that nature. Despite that, the neighborhood did not feel unsafe, and we weren't troubled with anything more than having to walk by a lewd sign.
“decent hotel”
This is a decent hotel for the price. It's walking distance to all the major attractions and areas in downtown Frankfurt. A cab from the airport was less than 30 Euros. Its a good place to sleep, no real complaints.
“Quiet hotel overlooking the River Main”
Friendly, quiet, clean hotel overlooking the River Main, close to S-Bahn (Ostendstrasse station), about 10 minutes' walk from Romer old town area and Ziel shopping area. Recommended.
“walk a bit, save some money”
let me just say that I judge a place to stay by: it's cheap, clean, comfortable this place has those three covered but you get what you pay for. the location is a little walk along the river away from the old center in the opposite direction of the train station, but by no means is it out of the center. It's an older building, if you're looking for bright modern etc. - this is not the place. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but had all the usual offerings - coffee, buns, meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal. I would book again if I need to stay in Frankfurt.
“Nice hotel for the price”
i spent 4 nights in this hotel in December 2009. the area is not bad. when i asked some germans i met in frankfurt, they said it's "the little red light district". i personally didnt have any problems, but i dont know how it will be in the summer. it's close to the main train station and almost all S bahns stop by the station close to this hotel. the hotel is close to the museum street and it overlooks the Main river. the view is good especially at night. the owner was friendly and every one who works there is super nice and helpful. i recommend this hotel. price is decent and location is good. PS: behind the hotel, there's a huge statue of a sexy girl's butt...with red high heels.
“Very disappointed”
I have to admit that I would not come back to this hotel myself, only good thing was the price and the views from the nearby bridge at night. The bed was disgusting, the walls had colour marks (like from crayons), the bathroom looked funny but was rather clean. They asked us to pay extra for a buffet breakfast that was already included in my booking so they only gave us a hot drink and a piece of bread and butter. I did not mind having the strip club next door and it did not bother us at all, but it felt funny to leave the car at the back so we took all our valuables with us. Going to town was a pleasant stroll, in under 15 minutes we were by the cathedral, so that was good.
“Frankfurt - one day is plenty”
Location: not great. Opposite end of the city from the train station and airport, not near the S-bahn or U-bahn, or near recommended restaurants. View of the Main was very nice. Breakfast (included) is a piece of bread and cup of coffee unless you pay extra for the buffet.
“Just the Bare Essentials”
If you just want a bed to sleep in then this would be ok. It is next to a strip joint and location is commercial. If you got a room overlooking the river, it might have been nicer. We needed to sleep 4 people and didn't want to pay for another room. The beds were lined up in a row with very little room to get to them. Also there was a TV but it didn't work. The bathroom was clean and provided enough towels. The basic breakfast was good. You could get a hot meal for extra $. It did have FREE WIFI. Other hotels we had to pay and it wasn't cheap.
“nice small hotel 10 minute walk to city center also nice views over the river Maine”
i would return to Frankfurt very nice city and people
