“Good for an in-transit stay”
Simple, small rooms in a location convenient to the airport (the hotel said a 10-minute drive but it was more like 15-20). Staff was nice, and workers at the front desk had great English. Restaurant was good, though staff didn't speak a lot of English. Small shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants, and clothing/shoe stores a 5 minute walk. No alarm clock in the room, but you can request a wake-up call. Breakfast available for a cost (though I didn't have breakfast), though there is a coffee machine in the lobby for EUR 2-3. The bottled water in the room isn't free. Overall a very nice, well-kept hotel perfect for in-transit. I would definitely recommend this hotel for that purpose.
“Great choice for single travelers”
I landed at Frankfurt International Airport around 9:50, stepped outside, phoned the hotel and was informed they would be there at 10:20. The shuttle service was on time, and I was at the hotel within 15 minutes of departing the airport. My check-in and check-out were quick and easy because I had booked/paid online. The room is perfect for a single traveler looking to stay close to the airport without the heavy airport prices. The room offered a single bed, TV, and a private bath. They offer free wireless Internet in the room or there is a computer in the lobby. There is an Esso within walking distance that has fresh breads and sandwiches. The hotel has a restaurant/bar with reasonably priced meals and spirits. Overall nice accommodations for the price.
“Would stay there again”
Carat Hotel Frankfurt Airport, located 15 minutes from the airport directly on the opposite side of the airports facilities. The outskirts of the airport facilities are then shrouded in woods which helps to illuminate the noise from airport air traffic. Suburb type setting less than a block to the nearest gas station and a few more steps to a strip mall that is hard to see when getting to the hotel but is filled with restaurants, stores, and two nice sized supermarkets. The Carat hotel itself has a Mexican restaurant which at the time Nachos seemed modestly priced for the insatiable urge I had for Mexican food, a rarity it would think in southern Germany. Free Shuttle but you need to call from a pay phone rather than ring direct from the free but limited hotel list they display at the hotel pickup area. Also make sure you know where they will pick you up as they picked us up at the entire opposite end from the hotel pickup and in lane 2. We saw the blue van with Carat on it and I ran the distance while my friend lagged behind, caught it and were very glad we did. Room on first floor received free internet signal so we needn't go down to the lobby.
“GOOD HOTEL”
The price was right. We were on our last night in Europe, had a morning flight out of Frankfurt Airport. We looked for hotels near the airport - on Expedia. This hotel was listed as minutes away. It was not. and my GPS, which guided me all over germany, Switzerland and Italy, could not find this hotel. We called the hotel and they guided us to their location. As I said the price was right. Otherwise, I would have preferred a hotel more convenient to the airport. We did not eat there. The breakfast was a huge european layout.
“Met my needs”
We needed a quite room for our baby and we needed quick transportation to the airport. We were very happy. It was very clean quit and accommodating. We would recommend it. The restaurant was good too.

Staff was very nice & helpful. The Mexican restuarant was good with lots of choices. Airport shuttle was free & left on time & was at my drop off within 15 minutes. Room was clean & not as small as most lower priced European hotels & the wireless internet worked fine.
“Perfect place for a stayover close to the FRA airport”
Hotel was great; shuttle service got me to the airport in time. Nice jogging trails nearby.
“Good Hotel to stay in.”
Nice and clean Hotel. Was hard to find since it's in a side street. Little too far away from the airport but good alternative due to price. No alarm clock or iron in room. Wake up call and free breakfast.
“Generally Fine”
Everything about the hotel was good, including the helpfulness of staff. Biggest problem was that the shuttle couldnt manage to connect with me to take me from airport to hotel for 2.5 hours. This was after a transatlantic flight so I was already exhausted. It did all work out, but oi!
“Frankfurt Bargain”
What a great deal! My room was small, but spotlessly clean. The hotel is located within 2 blocks of a small shopping center which has a bakery, restaurants, grocery, and dry goods stores. Because of proximity to the airport, I expected a lot of noise, but instead could just faintly hear trains passing. The Mexican Restaurant at the hotel served good food at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helpful. A light breakfast snack of croissants, coffee and orange juice was available in the lobby for breakfast. The hotel airport shuttle was conveniently located just steps from the lobby and drove me and two other travelers safely to the airport in about 10 minutes. It was the perfect place for me to end my stay in Germany. I'd definitely stay at the Carat Hotel Frankfurt again.
