“A Pleasant Surprise - Would Stay Here Again”
I was pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel was. Very modern design. And most important, very clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I also like that it is across the street from the train station and one stop to the Messe. There is no doubt in my mind I would stay here again.,
“Great bargain!”
This hotel is a great value. It is very clean, the staff is very helpful, and I was very pleased with my room. It was tiny, but efficient and very cute. The only difficulty I had was finding the place. The street numbering is a bit confusing; it wasn't on the block I expected it to be. But, if you leave the Galluswarte station by the exit that says "Mainzer Landstrasse" you'll be right across the street from the lobby; it looks like part of a strip mall; it's right next to a cherry store (kirsch something) and an apotheque. The hotel's sign is kind of hard to read from across the street. The noise level in the hotel is a little bit distracting; you can hear people in the hallway, and the trains and traffic outside. The breakfast is very nice. The area the hotel is located in is only a 5 minute or less train ride to the Bahnhof, which is right in the heart of Frankfurt; great shopping and people watching. Not a bad walk down to the river, which is really pretty. Definitely take the train, not a cab. The DB counter at the airport is very helpful. It only cost me 3.8 euro to take the train to the hotel, and the woman at the airport info desk said the cab fair can easily be 30-40 Euro. A great place to stay if you're on a budget!
“Good Deal”
Although at first glance this hotel does not look appealing once inside it is very nice. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The room to my surprise was actually big for European standards. My only complaint is that there was no air conditioning and at night you can hear the trains from a distance. From the hotel it is about a 20-25 minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof. Overall I would definitely stay there again.
“Surprising Gem”
When I drove up to the hotel, I was a little skeptical. The outside was a shambles and there was paper on the glass windows - as if it were still under construction. Needless to say, it made me a little concerned. We walked around to the back entrance as the sign indicated and were pleasently surprised. Imaculatly clean, well groomed outside greeted us. We walked in to the reception and were immediately greeted by a staff that spoke and understood English incredibly well. Check in took about 3 minutes and were given the keys to our room. The room was very nice - I would even say "American proportions" (and that's saying quite a lot after the tiny rooms we stayed in). The beds were twins but were comfortable, with nice linens and quilts. The only thing I might say was a little lacking was there was no padding between the cement floor and the carpet so walking was a tad firm. The hotel is located right next to a VERY busy train line - you'll want to ask for an inside room (a room that has the windows facing away from the train tracks) as the lack of insulation in the floors and walls could make for a noisy night. We had an inside room and noticed the trains only when we were awake - they were not loud enough to keep us up or wake us up from a sound sleep. This is a surprising hotel - full of character and an incredible staff. I will stay here again.
“Great place to stay”
I wish we could have stayed longer. This is a convenient location across the street from the train that takes you to the main train station in minutes. The hotel may not look like much from the outside but the inside is very new and modern and very clean and neat. I found the staff to be so friendly and helpful. This will be my choice of hotels when I come back to Germany.
“Would stay there again.”
The hotel is still under construction which should be completed around April of 2010, or sooner. With that said, the section that is open is very comfortable and kept in a very clean condition. All of the staff are great and I enjoyed each and every day that I stayed. Also, it is a very short walk to the S Train that takes you all around Frankfurt and the surrounding area.
“Frankfurt Visit”
The hotel is very convienet it is only few meters from train station "Gutaville" this station is only one stop from Hauptbanhof (central station of Frankfurt) from their you can go to everywhere in Frankfurt and even outside of Frankfurt. I highly recommend this hotel, the double room is big and modern i had a very comfortable stay on bed and breakfast basis with good price compare to what you get.
“A bit noisy, otherwise fine”
A clean, modern hotel. Well located for public transport - adjacent to trams and Galluswarte S-Bahn. 0.75 Km from Fair grounds (or one stop on the S-Bahn). Light sleepers might have a problem with noise from the railway, particularly if windows are open in Summer. Apart from that, I'd recommend it.
“Very clean large hotel”
The location is a bit of walk from the Train Station but not too bad. The hotel was very clean with large rooms and free Wi-Fi. Overall I'd recommend this hotel.
“Convenient and value for price”
The hotel is relatively close to city centre and is conveniently located to a tram stop and metro called Galluswarte. Firstly, I would recommend you grab a transport map (we got ours from the main central station - Hauptbahnhof) before arriving at the hotel simply because they do not stock any. An all-day ticket (Tageskarte in German) costing 5.80 euro would then allow you to use any form of transport for the day (tram, bus and metro). But we found that once we arrived in city centre, everything was perfectly walkable, nevertheless we still purchased an all-day ticket as it gave us the freedom to use transport when we were tired of walking; and it also saves having to queue up at the ticket machine for each and every journey. Our room was on the third floor facing away from the tram stop but the sound of passing trams were apparent only with the window opened. The double room was v.spacious with a twin bed, the room looked neat and contemporary but lacked character (but I liked it). The shower room was great and it came with combo shampoo+shower gel, hair dryer etc and I believe the towels were changed everyday. Wireless internet was also provided for free and suprising an English CNN channel was available to admire on the Samsung Flat screen TV. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and I would personally go back should I visit Frankfurt again.
