“Adequate hotel, awkward location”

The hotel itself was fine, nothing exceptional. The breakfast was good, shuttlel service went fine. The location, however, was in an industrial area with nothing special for walking around. The price was what attracted us.

“Convient to the airport”

This hotel was satisfactory for a one night stay to catch the plane. Clean and modern interior with internet access. Not the place for an extended stay since it is located in a warehouse area. The restaurant next door served excellent food. The morning shuttle had a gap. Normally they have a 40 minute turn around but there is a 6:30am departure followed by one at 7:45. We could have enjoyed breakfast a bit longer had there been a departure time closer to 7. Breakfast started at 6:00.

“Don't stay at the Albatross”

After pick-up from FRA, the driver circled for twenty minutes to find another guest. At the hotel, the desk clerk took 10 minuetes to find me a room. My assigned room was on the to floor. It had no air conditioning, the window did not open, and the room temperature was approximately 95 degrees Celsius. After 5 minutes, the clerk found another room. The key did not work. The manager directed me to a third room which was fine. I tried to use the computer designated for guests (in room next to desk clerk). I could not get "on-line." I asked the manager for help, but he told me he'd be there in ten minutes -- he was busy chatting with a pretty young female and could care less about me. After five minutes, the young lady asked the manager to help me, which he finally did. From my initial pickup at FRA until I was in an acceptable room, approximately two hours elapsed. My wake-up call never came the next morning. One good thing -- the dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. I will not stay at the Albatross again.

“Good choice near airport”

The location is close to the airport in an office/industrial area. There is a restaurant next door, open for dinner. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The breakfast buffet was good, with a good variety. The room had a small refrigerator, but no AC. If you go in warm weather, you will have to open the window for some relief. There is an elevator and a few free parking places in front. I noticed several people parking on the street and was told that there was a parking area nearby. An airport shuttle is also provided for a small fee. Free internet is provided near the front desk. My only complaint was the lack of any English speaking TV choices, but that is a pretty minor complaint.

“Nothing special”

The two things this hotel has to recommend it are that it is close to the airport and it is not expensive. A dedicated shuttle is available at extra cost, and the shuttle worked well for us, delivering us right to our gate at the C7 door of Terminal 1 at the Frankfurt Flughaven. Breakfast is provided with the room, and ours was good. The hotel is located in a industrial/warehouse/residential area near the airport. The neighborhood is not especially noisy, but the restaurant immediately below our window went until about 3:00 AM and was somewhat disturbing because it was warm in the room and we kept our window open. The room was very clean, which for us was typical of German accommodations, but not particularly cozy. Compared to other hotels we stayed at while in Germany, this one ranked dead last. Others were friendlier, cozier, more conveniently located, and more comfortable. If you are looking only for inexpensive, basic accommodations near the Frankfurt airport, this hotel could work well for you.

“would not recommend”

The hotel is about 15 minutes from the Airport, which was good since there was no plane noise at all. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude to customers in front of other customers. I had booked a non smoking room and got a smoking room. I told the lady at the front desk and she started to get all upset again and got mad since everyone is just complaining and she started to get all upset. She did give me another room that was actually a non smoking room. The mattress was quite hard and very uncomfortable and I did not sleep good at all. The breakfast was very good. They had a good variety of foods. The shuttle service back to the airport is 5 Euros per person. I will not stay at this hotel again.

“Very difficult to find”

Considering the price, the hotel itself was reasonable .... if you can find it. We had a car rental and so were having to locate the place ourselves. It is close to the airport and they do run a shuttle (which is probably how most people access the hotel) Good breakfast in the morning and parking available. Absolutely nothing attractive about the surroundings - appeared to be in the business area of town.

“disappointed”

not what we expected, room very basic, shuttle convenient from airport but difficult to get anywhere unless you have a car or speak german - most people seemed unable to understand or help with directions . However excellent breakfast helped and good reasonable food at the in house resteraunt, with a nice almost turkish laid back atmosphere. If you are touring get ahop on hop off bus around frankfurt, interesting and cost effective to see this lovely city.

“An oldie but a Goodie”

Quite a comfortable hotel with a superb restaurant ( Avocado ) right there. Plenty to choose from at the comfortable breakfast room. Shuttle bus runs regularly but had difficulty finding it at the airport on arrival.
