“Would highly recommend!”
My friend and I spent 10 days at this hotel in January. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful! We had no problem getting information and assistance with whatever we needed. It was a great location, walking distance to everything. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and breakfast was included. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again!
“Charming hotel in great location”
This hotel has lots of Italian charm and is clean and comfortable. It was a little hard to find initially because there's only a tiny gold plaque outside the house that identifies it! The rooms are small but very nice, with comfortable beds and nice furniture. The slight downside was that the bathroom in our room was very small and had some mould on the ceiling - but otherwise it was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke adequate English. The breakfast was ample, with cereal, pastries and yoghurts available in a room with a lovely terrace. A definite bonus is that it is only 15-20 minutes walk (at a reasonable pace) from the centre of the old town, and you'll pass some tourist attractions on the way in. I'd definitely recommend this place - it's good value for money.
“Great Retreat in Florence”
This clean comfortable B&B afforded a great, quiet night's sleep in a clean, comfortable bed even on the night when the air conditioning would not work. Our visit included five nights. The breakfasts offered were fresh and offered a variety of good choices, with a personalized cup of espresso or cappuchino and seasonal fruit and juices, which was perfect for our days start. Laura and her staff were friendly and as accommodating as they were able to be. We will check for availability here first when we visit the next time.
“Beautiful absolutely beautiful”
After staying in a generic boring hotels this B & B was like stepping into heaven. The room was absolutely beautiful with great decor and a lovely bed. We arrived a little early to check in but the guy made us a cappuchino and we sat out on the lovely little terrace area. He also gave us a map of Florence and basically plotted out our whole day for us and even recommended a restaurant to go to. The next morning we sat in the breakfast room and a lovely man made us some real tasty coffee and we tucked in to some tasty treats, Overall probably the best place I have ever stayed at! You are also within walking distances of the main sites like the duomo the town centre and the ponte vecchio.
“Lovely b&b worth what you pay”
We were very happy with this accommodation, in fact the room was very pleasant we were not expecting a four poster bed! Breakfast was nothing special, they could improve by providing some bread instead of the sweet croissants. The family running the b&b were very pleasant and helpful. Location for us was a bit of an issue in that it was a 25 minute walk to the railway station. On the whole though a very pleasant stay.
“Couldn't ask for Better Customer Service.....”
Soggiorno Laura B & B was central to everywhere we wanted to be. We stayed 3 nights here, everyday, everywhere - was walking distance. Just wear comfortable shoes, and stylish too - People really admire shoes and feet there, my feet got so much attention-especially from the men! Back to the hotel. They offered a map, suggestions, directions willingly and happily. They were accomodating with items I left in Lake Como to be shipped to their hotel. After realizing we needed to stay one more night, they coordinated our stay with next door.Always helpful, always Smiling.Simple, Clean, charming.
“Soggiorno Laura B&B”
This B&B was very clean, great breakfast and close to everything. The front desk referred us to a restaurant within walking distance (Alfredo's) It was so good that we went both nights that we were in Florence.
“No lift, terrible breakfast”
We stayed for 2 nights at this place, the first surprise was carrying our luggage to the second floor, but imagine how difficult it was with high Italian buildings. The host was nice and friendly but confused us with different price for using the Internet every time we asked. The restaurant recommended by the hotel was very nice. We loved it. Breakfast provided by the place was another surprise; even though the room was decorated in a very homey and nice style, the food was unacceptable, we left with empty stomach. Anyway, balancing between price and quality, I probably will stay here again, prepare myself to carry the luggage and have breakfast somewhere else.
“Good B&B”
My wife and I stayed at the Soggiorno Hotel for three nights. The location is very good, you can easily walk to all the main attractions. The room was clean with decent furnishings and staff very friendly, on the down side was the bathroom, you literally could not swing a cat in there, we are talking tiny! it was a little damp in places aswell and just looked tired, not sure how our bathroom compared to other rooms, I would hope the other bathrooms are in a better state. If you plan on having a large breakfast you will be disappointed, it was pretty minimal with bread, croissant, and a couple of other savoury snacks on offer. All in all it was a nice hotel, just a couple of points I listed above let it down slightly.
“not impressed”
shower was extremely small and beds were uncomfortable
