“Quiet Retreat”

Contrary to other reviews we found the hotel ok. There are road signs for it from miles out. The hotel was VERY quiet however, with too few guests for our taste. It is also a long drag out from Florence. In its favour though, in the really hot weather the hill location means temperatures at night were ideal. The scenery is stunning and for enthusiastic drivers the route is great fun.

“Not what I expected”

If you are planning on going to Florence from this hotel then you are in for a terrifing ride on a death road! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere on the side of a mountain! You have to travel up terrible windy roads to reach the hotel and it is not something I wanted to do 2 times a day! The whole time we were there it rained and had horrible storms! All in all it was not the best!
