“David & Janet from Calgary, Canada”
Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Silvia has true pride of ownership in the place. Location is fantastic just steps to the central plaza and 10 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was very good and Silvia's brother exceptionally helpful with things to see and places to eat. Would definitely stay there again if I am ever in Florence.
“Fantastic little B and B in the heartof florence”
Sylvia greeted us as if we were family and looked after us the same way. I am traveling with my 18 year old daughter and felt so safe and secure here you don't even need to lock your door. Great Internet access wifi or use thir computer in lounge area. Breakfast simple but good. The position is amazing. Walk to everything and Sylvia gives directions to everything. It was a little noisy in our room facing the street but we got all the atmosphere from the busstling street below and you just need to close the windows to sleep. This is the place you should book if you want a great personalized holiday. I would recommend it to all my friends. We could walk back at anytime of the day for time out. No need to use public transport at all. The only small problem is the lift isn't working but sylvia carried the bag up for me and it is only one floor
“Great people”
We had a terrific stay here. The folks that run the place are fantastic, helpful, and enthusiastic. The location was convenient and easy to get to. One caution for light sleepers, the street cleaners come through around the midnight hour and are very loud for 20- 40 minutes but the interior rooms will not be affected by that as much as the outside room overlooking the street. Overall a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again!
“Great hosts and great location”
We stayed in a quadruple room at Floralia with our two teenage boys in early July and had a wonderful time. Sylvie and Sabino are very considerate hosts and full of advice about what to do in Florence. Floralia's location cannot be beat - on a side street no more than 2 minutes from the Duomo and an easy flat 15-20 minute walk from the train/bus station. We were able to walk to all the sites in the city. Our room was big and airy and overlooked the street below. The room was not air conditioned, but two large ceiling fans kept it comfortable. Our stay came with free WiFi and free breakfast. The breakfast was served buffet style and was sufficiently diverse for everyone in our family to find something to eat. Cappuccino was prepared to order by Sylvie and Sabino. We found that the central location came with some street noise, but closing the shutters provided sufficient insulation that we could sleep comfortably (internally located rooms are likely to be more quiet). A special thanks to Sabino who suggested that we go up to Piazzale MIchelangelo. We did so the last evening and watched the sunset over Florence - a great ending to our stay.
“Excellent stay!”
Silvia speaks excently English and gave superb recommendations for sightseeing around Florence and outside of Florence. Her choices of restaurants and gelato are great too. She will tell you how to avoid tourist traps and such. Bottom line, couldn't have been better with the central location (essential right next to the Duomo and a few blocks/ 10 minute walk from Firenze SMN train station). My husband and I were able to stop by our room during the day to drop off shopping bags or just take a coffee/ tea break in the cutesy dining room of the b&b.
“Friendly place, just meters from the Duomo”
Floralia B&B is definitely a gem. The B&B is located on a bustling little street, just a few meters from the Piazza del Duomo. The location is perfect for walking around Florence; not far to the Galleria dell’Accademia (Michaelangelo’s David), the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria. The B&B is run by the charming sister and brother team, Sylvia and Sabino. They were both very friendly and helpful with suggestions for sightseeing. Breakfast is in a separate room with plenty of choices: toast, breads, cereal, yogurt, milk, juices, fresh coffee, tea. They only accept cash though; no credit cards.
“Great place, lovely apt”
Lovely people and nice apartment. Great place we didnt use public transportation at all The room was comfy but the bathroom & shower was out of room. But super cute design for the apartment.
“A flower of Florence”
It is very central but still can escape the busy streets. Sabine & Sylvia were very helpful & friendly & went the extra mile. A pleasant experience.
“Very friendly B&B”
This is a lovely B&B in the centre of Florence right next to the Duomo Square. Our room looked out onto the road which is full of restaurants and shops. We could stand at the window and "people watch". We had a very pleasant stay here. Sylvia and her brother make you feel very welcome. The breakfast room is very homely and there is plenty of food to choose from. There are only 3 rooms in this B&B so it is quiet inside. There are shutters on the windows to keep the heat and light out but we had to close the windows at night because we are early birds. ( or that might just be old birds). We also felt very safe in this B&B. Big front door, flight of stairs, another front door into B&B and then another door to the room. 3 keys so don't lose them. Only 15 minute walk from the train station where the buses are too. If you have a day spare take a trip to Lucca on the train.
“Average B&B”
Room smelt of smoke as it was next to the designated smoking area. Not pleasant, but the room itself and the owner were nice. Breakfast was poor. Location was excellent, 1 minute walk from the Duomo.
