“Ideal hotel for basic needs”

excellent hotel very impresive service from staff and the hotel it self is very modern. However the room was very basic with out of date furniture and offered nothing really that you would expect a 5 star hotel to give There was no tea or coffee facilites and breakfast was very expensive and not much choice. Far better to eat at the many shops open in the morning for breakfast at the local shopping centres This hotel is fine if you just need some where with a bed to sleep and are not looking to spend much time in the hotel room.

Staff great, service good. Just thought the room was a bit dated and room cleaning could be better, when I checked in crumbs on carpet.

1/ 20 Minutes to check in, not good enough at midnight 2/no newspaper 1st day as promised.Complained 2nd day not received.only 2 newspapers in 5 days 3/ No fruit or flowers in room 4/ No late checkout despite 1/2 empty hotel. 5/ Airport transfer too expensive Remember comments for 5 star hotel, I have obtained more services in Dubai from 3/4 star

A bit pricey for the value, but worth staying for Cucina and JW Steakhouse!

“Comfortable stay”

We chose J W Marriott because we wanted a hotel near the airport. The restaurants in the hotel were convenient for lunch and dinner. The Cucina (italian) restaurant is nice. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helped out where ever they could. This made our short trip to Dubai relaxing.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The service was great. I expected more for the rooms seeing how beautiful the rest of the hotel is, however, It was overall a great stay!

Go for a hotel in the Bur Dubai area - Deira is the old town. Also this hotel's quiet small and rooms are old. Not your typical JW experience i think

“Awesome service and friendliest Staff”

Marriott is my favorite hotel and over the past the past two years , I stayed over 50 nights at this Hotel. The main reason for my stay here is the friendliness and best service of staff. However the biggest drawback is the decor and status of guest rooms. The carpets are old and spotty and the furniture is outdated. In order for this hotel to stay 5 stars and keep its status, it MUST start redecorating its rooms.
