“JW Marriott Dubai”

I arrived late in the evening and the hotel staff was spot on. They took care of the luggage to the room and even helped me find my room (I went the wrong direction coming out of the elevator). The staff was extremely helpful, and the JW Marriot has everything for the business traveler. I have stayed at other hotels in Dubai and none of them have the selection of restaurants and amenities that the JW Marriott provides for there guest. I am going to make this property the only one I stay at in Dubai.

Area recommendations

I was a solo business traveler on this trip. I did not have the chance to get out and go around Dubai on this trip. All business on this trip I had no time for shopping.

“Awesome service and friendliest Staff”

Marriott is my favorite hotel and over the past the past two years , I stayed over 50 nights at this Hotel. The main reason for my stay here is the friendliness and best service of staff. However the biggest drawback is the decor and status of guest rooms. The carpets are old and spotty and the furniture is outdated. In order for this hotel to stay 5 stars and keep its status, it MUST start redecorating its rooms.

Area recommendations

The newest buzz is the Dubai Mall neighborhood. there are brand new hotels and restaurants .And ofcourse, Shopping is tremendous.

When to go

Visit Dubai between October and April. the weather is the Best.

“Not the best location”

Go for a hotel in the Bur Dubai area - Deira is the old town. Also this hotel's quiet small and rooms are old. Not your typical JW experience i think

“Fantastic family friendly hotel”

First experience with Expedia and I cant recommend them highly enough. We booked 3 nights at the Marriott in Dubai on our way home from Germany to Australia. The hotel was fantastic. We had a brilliant room overlooking the hotels inner courtyard. We were upgraded to an executive room, via expedia, which entitled us to free drinks from 5-7 in the executive lounge and unlimited use of the internet. The room was very comfortable, large enough for all of us, 2 adults, 2 kids. Plenty of dining choices from italian to german to buffet, great for the kids. There was a rooftop pool which the kids enjoyed, even after closing time, the staff let the kids swim as long as they like. We were very impressed with the level of service, and for anyone with kids like us, we can confirm it was very family friendly. We will definately return there on future visits to Dubai

Area recommendations

Take the kids to the Dubai mall, only 10 minutes by taxi, they have a fantastic aquarium with underwater zoo that we all enjoyed. You walk through a glass tunnel within a tank abundant with fish, sharks and other sea creatures. The underwater zoo had mainly open tanks with everything from pirhanas, water rats, penguins, seals and jelly fish amongst other things. Spent about 2 hours there , costing about 70-80 australian dollars. Take the kids to the jungle themed cafe with animated gorillas and elephants which 'come alive' every 15 minutes or so whilst you dine, well priced with kids menu.

“JW MARRIOT DUBAI”

I would highly recommend this hotel. The service was great. I expected more for the rooms seeing how beautiful the rest of the hotel is, however, It was overall a great stay!
