“Great family resort - away from the hustle and bustle of Vietnam”
We spent 5 nights at Le Belhamy - 17th to 22nd June. With our 2 children aged 12 and 10. We booked a sea view villa with a private pool and it was fantastic!! Lovely rooms, helpful staff (yes limited English) , the mattresses are firm but most in Vietnam are. The beach is beautiful and the waters are great fro swimming in - very safe. We would/will definately stay here when we visit again. The hotel is 7km away from Hoi An which is great because it's nice and quiet. The only slightly down side is that there restaurant menu is limited - but don't let that put you off. It is also not over crowded with people. They also gave us 4 free 15 minute complimentary foot massages at the spa which my daughter and I used - and the spa facility was lovely. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bathroom was one of the nicest we had in Vietnam. There are some huge resorts further down the road towards Da Nang if like like 5 star luxury and there are also lots of hotels in Hoi An itself but we wanted this to be relaxing for the last part of our holiday and it met our needs well. We also did the cooking tour which was fine - went to the local market and were told what to look for when buying fruit, veges and meat and visited a herb farm. The cooking class itself was simple and you tend to watch more than hands on but this was similar to one we did in Ha Long Bay so you could take it or leave it and it was pricey at $US35. But once again we would happily stay here!!
“OK for $”
Service done by locals, very friendly and tries very hard Good value, breafkast is good. Would be nice to have air conditioning options in dining room Room lovely but too dark. Need better lighting Good location Need air conditiong or cooler in check in counter. Quite miserable in the heat.
“Great beach, not much else to offer”
Nice beachfront location but a 15 minute taxi ride to town - the shuttle bus runs 4 times per day. The hotel rooms are big but not well designed - one floor of the villa was essentially unused. The airconditioning was struggling to keep the rooms cool, and we had no hot water for 3 days - fortunately the Hoi An weather made this unimportant. Breakfast, whilst included in the price, was hardly worth getting out of bed for - the room service meals were of better quality. The staff were friendly if not overly helpful, and the range of resort activities was reasonable. Overall this is a resort with some good and some bad points; it's not luxury, but then, at the price, probably represents fair value for money.
“Condition Poor”
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean but the pool villa offered no privacy with low walls and open gates. Also the walls, buildings and gardens are in very poor condition, the ưhole place needs a major overall.
