“great choice for very low price”
the place is clean, nice and quiet, of course its not a spa but is a good place to stay if you want to visit melrose, sunset, west hollywood and nearby areas.

staff was very polite, We initially went for a very early morning cheer competition, so we had to check out very early....but when we found out it was cancelled they allowed us to go back to the room for a few more hours of sleep. the rooms were very clean and for it being right next to the freeway it was very quite and peaceful at night. I would definitly go back!

The Sunburst Spa and Suites is a decent motel--not fancy, but I found it clean and comfortable and worth the money. The name is a bit fanciful as the pool is pretty petite. But the service was friendly and the price was right.

Location is convenient, rooms clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Missing and disfunctional lighting in room and disfunctional vending machines were annoying, though.
“Cool Motel for Cool price”
So obviously its no five star hotel. But it was very decent. NOt too fancy, but it was clean. No bed bugs! There was a fridge and a microwave in the room so that was a plus. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and were entirely satisfied. We were 4 people in one room with 2 queen beds, plenty of space, very clean. There is a fridge and microwave, free wireless internet, complimentary continental breakfast. The location is very convenient next to the highway entrance and the neighborhood is safe. Would come back here if I have to stay in the LA area.
“A diamond in the rough”
For a basic hotel, the Sunburst is a reasonable bargain. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though basic. The staff is helpful and there is room for improvement. My wife and I have been at the Sunburst on two occasions. A minor irritant seems to be the skimping on linen. I had to ask each day for a wash cloth for each of us. The provided soaps and shampoos were of inferior quality. Spending a bit more in these areas would only require a modest per night increase (may be a couple of bucks) to impolement. With proper staff training, the housekeeping staff would be able to pick up on guest preferences. All in all, the Sunburst is a diamond in the rough waiting to realize its full potential.
