“very good hotel”
fanastic pool and room
“Great resort at a reasonable price”
You need to enjoy good rooms, tennis, lying by the pool and going to the gym. If that's the kind of relaxing holiday you want, it's fantastic. If, however, you want to leave the resort, you NEED a car. Some good things to see around the place but everywhere takes longer to get to than you might expect. The resort itself is reasonably well signposted for coming back. Eat at the expensive resto in the hotel. It's far better than the cheap one and listen to the maitre d' - he knows what he's talking about.
“A relaxing retreat”
Great hotel overall! Location is the only negative but we had no desire to leave as the resort had everything we were looking for in a long beach weekend! Nice pools, tennis courts, gym, restaurants and bars. The rooms were HUGE by European standards and have a very nice spacious bathroom. Our room was very clean and overall the grounds appeared to be very well kept. The staff is all very friendly! The hotel shuttle service to the beach club is great just remember the last return trip is 6pm. We loved our stay here and never left the resort other than to go to the hotel's beach club! If you are looking for a place to just relax in the sun this is a good choice!
“great facilities”
great hotel, located edge of industrial site, but well disguised by lush gardens, fantastic pool, tennis courts free, and equipment supplied shuttle bus to great beach, taxi to olbia 20 euros, self cater with gin and tonic! very expensive from bar!
“Meilia Olbia, Sardinia”
A very nice hotel with facilities in perfect order. Great pool, good food and friendly helpful staff. Location is not great - you need a car but other than that, it really is a good hotel and at a reasonable price for Sardinia.
“Great hotel”
We arrived in sardinia and was booked in another hotel which for a 4 star hotel we were terribly disappointed with and got transferred to the melia olbia. The staff were so helpful and friendly and helped us book excursions as we were unable to speak any italian. The food was lovely. We dined at the a la carte restaurant twice during our stay and found it excellent value for money and not much more expensive than the buffet which was also very good. There was building work ongoing but could only hear it when the balcony door was open so did not interfere with our stay. The pool was lovely being fresh water though it was pretty cool in temperature. Definately refreshing. Alcohol and soft drinks are expensive but are the same everywhere not just the hotel but would consider this when allocating spending money. Would definately go back to this hotel. September not the best month to go as most things are closing for the season so you do not get all the activities or shuttle buses laid on for the beach.
“Great Resort”
A very clean hotel with a good location if you have your own transportation and very friendly staff.
“Great Hotel”
I loved the hotel and it was an excellent value for the quality of the rooms. Beautiful and spacious rooms, great pool area. The only downside is there isn't much else to do in the area, so be prepared to drive around if you want something to do other than lounging at the hotel.
“Best hotel I've been to in Olbia”
I've been to a lot of hotels in Olbia, and this is by far the best. This hotel is in a perfect location. It's not far from the airport, there is a mall next to the airport, and less than 2 miles away from the hotel there is another mall. Finding the hotel is a little hard, but if you follow the directions that expedia gives you'll find it with no problem. Rooms are nice and spacious and the bathrooms have shower/tub. They have an olympic size pool, which was nice. The hotel had a band playing the night that I stayed. All in all it was a good experience.
“Great hotel close to Olbia airport!”
A real treat-great food, nice pool, clean, comfortable room, shuttle bus to beach, friendly staff, close to Olbia airport.

Area:
Olbia, Italy: The Costa Smeraldas main arrival point, Olbia is one of Sardinias oldest towns, although much of it is now modern and sprawling. But the cobbled lanes in the old part of town around the Corso Umberto are full of good restaurants and some pretty piazzas to linger in over a drink. Olbias only real monument is the granite Romanesque church San Simplicio. Nearby are the prehistoric Nuraghi sites around Arzachena.
