Property Amenities
At Hotel Danmark, we welcome you to our cosy atmosphere with individually decorated rooms and guest lounges, where you can relax with a newspaper and a nice cup of coffee. Maybe you want to send an e-mail to those back home about your stay in Copenhagen; well we have free internet access, so that will not be a problem. In Tivolihallen on the ground floor, you can try traditional Danish cuisine including "smørrebrød" and the Nordic delicacy "klipfisk"; two dishes that Tivolihallen is very known for. In the summer, you can enjoy your dinner in our cosy cobblestoned courtyard. Due to the hotel's central location in the heart of Copenhagen, you can easily take a stroll downtown, visit the 1843 amusement park Tivoli Garden, or maybe do some shopping at the world's longest pedestrian street Strøget. The hotel is located as central as it gets.
Rooms
All of our 88 guestrooms are individually furnished and designed. They differ in size, but all have hair dryers and desks with lamps. We offer free internet access, cable TV, and complimentary toiletries. Some of the rooms have separate small lounge areas, and some rooms offer great views over Tivoli Gardens. If you are part of the dying race of smokers, you might be glad to know that smoking is allowed in 50 per cent of the guest rooms at Hotel Danmark.

Dining
"Smørrebrød" for lunch, "klipfisk" for dinner and "rødgrød med fløde" for dessert - then it does not get any more Danish than that! You can try it all and taste much other Danish cuisine in the famous ground floor restaurant, Tivolihallen. In the summer, courtyard serving is available. Of nearby restaurants we recommed Reinwalds - a great lunch restaurant, the restaurants at the square Gråbrødretorv, and Gammel Strand by Frederiksholm Canal.
Recreation
Need a treat? Guests staying at Hotel Danmark can use the luxurious Ni'Mat Spa with jacuzzi, sauna and steambath located by the sister hotel Hotel Kong Arthur for merely DKK 75 per person per day. The sister hotel is located close to the the inner lakes of Copenhagen and Nørreport train and metro station. Also, the SATS Form and Fitness centre in the Scala building on Vesterbrogade is less than 10 minutes' walk from Hotel Danmark. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel. Fees may apply.

“Nice hotel & friendly personel”
Perfect location, well decorated hotel and friendly personel.Gym is too small and needs a sauna or steem room as well.
“Good location”
Very nice small hotel in a great central location. Close to Kobenhavn H (central train station), Radhuspladsen, Tivoli, Stroget and lots of cafes and clubs between the hotel and Nyhaven. Rooms are a little small but clean and nice. Good breakfast and a helpful staff. Would stay here again.
“Very well located”
The hotel is an easy walk from the central station, close to attractions, e.g. Tovoli Gardens, the old palace, national museum, shops and lots of restaurants. Breakfasts were great, and the room well presented and comfortable.
“Great Location and price”
A+ location just a couple blocks from Tivoli, Stroget and town center. Rooms on the street are noisy when the windows are open. Great breakfast.
“Possitive experience”
The employees are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean. The location is great -- close to museums, Tivoli Gardens, shopping areas and the Main Railway Station. We would go back any time.
“Will use again”
This hotel is situated in a very convenient location, fairly close to the station and places of interest. The room was a double, no smoking. Whilst it was not a very big room, we found it perfectly adequate for our short stay. It was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the price and there were no coffee/tea making facilites in the room but could be obtained from the area near reception. We would stay here again on any future trips.
“Would defintely stay here again!”
This hotel is in the best possible location for seeing the City of Copenhagen - literally close to everything. There were six of us and our rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely little courtyard where we would spend time having a drink after touring around all day - a very relaxing way to get ready for the evening. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Danmark to our friends.
“Very well kept place”
I had a small but very functional room, and everything was a little bit better than I would have expected. Very good experience. And optimal location, if you want to see a little bit of the city in the evening after business trip.
“great place to stay”
This hotel is extremely comveniently located near train station, tivoli garden, and easy walking to bus terminal, shopping and many excellent restaurants. It's about a 20 minute cab ride to the airport. I have stayed at this hotel several times and the staff is always courteous and very helpful. The rooms are always clean, neat, and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the elevator is very small. But that has only been an inconvenience a couple of times. Copenhagen is my favorite vacation destination and I always stay at Hotel Danmark.
“Convenient, economical Hotel to come back to”
The hotel is old, but clean. The rooms are small with very small bath rooms. Do not get a room on the side of the street; you will hear noise all night long. Starting at 7am the noise intensifies as people head to work.
