“A good place to sleep”
This hotel was fine, and the desk service was great, even at 1 am when I checked in. Anyone booking it may want to know, however, that the "breakfast" is a bar with packaged cereal, bagels, granola-type bars, etc. with no seating. You basically go in, get a bag, toast your bagel, put whatever you want from the small bar and take it somewhere else to eat. This was not a problem for me.
“Noise”
Load doors and hallway noise. Mechanical issue with the fridge that caused noise throughout the night.
“Nice attempt at a suite type hotel...but not quite enough”
I usually like to stay in "suite" type hotels. This was that, but the rooms were very very small. The hallways reeked of smoke, but we could not smell it in our room. Fortunately! I think it was a little overpriced because of the room size. I would probably not stay there again. Unless the area hotels were all booked.
“Not what we thought we were getting”
We booked a 2 bedroom suite, which per the "hotel information" section on expedia, meant a king bed in 1 bedroom and 2 queens in the other. Our room (and all of the 2 bedroom suites at this hotel, according to the person at the front desk) had 1 queen bed in each bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. We paid a little more than we normally do to get the added conveniences which weren't available afterall. Also the pool had very cloudy water and you could barely see the bottom of it. We didn't swim. Also, upon check in, the person at the front desk finished a personal phone call for 3-4 minutes before finally checking me in. Not a good stay, to say the least.
“unresponsive”
I had requested a non-smoking room and ended up with a smelly smokey room. They said they had no others available. My shower was stuck on pulse (massage head) and requested on Saturday morning that they fix it, they came in and glued the face plate to the wall (which was also broken), but never changed the shower head. I asked again Sat night and they offered to let me shower across the hall in another smoky room. All they needed was an adjustable wrench, some tflon tape and a cheap shower head...problem solved, but that seemed to be beyond their comprehension. Kitchen sink was plumbed backwards (hot on the cold side) and prayed at you when turned on. On the plus side, high speed internet was truely high speed and easy to work with. Overall, a little management could make a nice hotel, but I would have been better off at an economy hotel.
