“Breakfast Not the Best”

The breakfast area was not in very good shape. There was little variety of foods to choose from, and no fruits. The hot water thermos was not near where the tea was kept.

“Shedding the light on Econo lodge”

Some of the lamps in our room did not have light bulbs and some with light bulbs didn't work. Also the public men's room was rundown and dirty.

“You get what you pay for!”

We did plan to stay at an inexpensive motel, but did not expect it to be so in need of an upgrade! On the positive side, we did have decent comfortable beds and it was quiet overnight and the staff were polite. On the negative side, the furniture was old and scratched, and the bathroom walls, floor and tub were in definite need of an upgrade. Also there was no outside lock to get into the motel from a side entrance.

“Filthy”

Room stank of mold and mildew, box spring broken, door to room broken, carpet looked like it had not been cleaned in 20 years. Next time I'll sleep in the car.

“Very dissatisfied”

Disgusting is the only way I can describe it. I am a fire fighter and a contractor so I am used to getting down and dirty and by no means a "hotel snob" but if it came down to it again, I would rather sleep in my truck on the side of the road. There were nasty people hanging out front of the hotel all hours of the day and night. I think people actually live there. The bed spreads were all burned up with cigarette holes and the ice machine was completely missing. It looked as though the place was built in the early 70's and never touched again. I would rather have been camping.

“Worst Hotel Ever.”

We checked in having driven four hours after a transatlantic flight. All we were looking for was clean sheets and a comfortable bed. The room we were supplied with had an enormous stain of a sexual nature (complete with pubic hair dressing) on the bed and the room stank. The changed our room to one without stains but equally smelly and a toilet that flushed itself loudly at ten minute intervals all night. On trying to complain in the morning the desk manager answered phone calls during our conversation which made it impossible to communicate with him. I asked the manager to email but still have had no reply... not even a simple apology! Quite simply this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and, as a touring musician of 10 years, I have stayed in a lot of dodgy hotels in a lot of different countries.
