“Fantastic Experience”
On arrival at the hotel I was met by the owners, Peter and Peppe who, as usual were all smiles. Peppe and her staff (who are mainly family and friends) went out of their way (as usual) to create the most delicious Thai cuisine I have ever tasted. Her staff worked long hours preparing exotic dishes which all of the guests thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and instantly welcomed me into their 'family group' and we all became great friends and had a good laugh together. Peter and Peppe are the perfect hosts.
“A rare find”
We wanted to get out of the city to fresh air and a taste of the real Thailand, and Golden Cupids turned out to be an excellent choice. This small, quiet, family-run resort is a good base for exploring the area around Chiang Mai, and was the highlight of our recent Thailand trip. The owner, Peppe, is a wonderful, kind, vivacious woman who treats her guests like family. That is the real secret to why people keep coming back to Golden Cupids. Also, the food is good and inexpensive; laundry too is inexpensive; there is a nice pool; there is free Wifi; you can take a cooking course with Peppe herself; and she can advise you about and help arrange all the usual sightseeing stuff as well as car service to the city or airport. We'll be back. Thank you again, Peppe and family.
“Will return many times. A tranquil, beautiful oasis”
My wife and I have visited Thailand 3 times and have stayed at many hotels.Golden Cupids is now our favoured destination. Accomodation, meals, staff attention are simply first class. In a botanical setting only 20 minutes from the wonderful chaos of downtown Chiang Mai it offers the perfect retreat. The hosts, Peter/Peppe, treat each and all as family. It is a winner!!!
“Friendly, clean, although location was a little difficult to find it was quite and really pleasant.”
Following a 16 hour drive from Bangkok we were met by the whole staff who took charge of use and presented a full banquet of food which was extremely welcome as my party was really exhausted. Although they serve typical Thai food they fulfilled our request for Western food ie Lamb chops. I would recommend this hotel for its friendlyness and flexibility. The rooms are really large and comfortable.
