A textile town since the 14th century, Cambrai in northern France has a number of tourist attractions. These include museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Archéosite, the Caudry Lace Museum, and the Matisse Museum. Other attractions include taking factory tours at Bêtises de Cambrai, going on boat trips down the river Escaut, and seeing a Cistercian monastery at Vaucelles Abbey.
