“Good place to stay when on business”
Seriously disappointed about the cost of internet @$0.75 per minute. Seems to me as last century pricing. Also, fixed connection, no wifi, which is a bit of a nuisance if you have multiple devices needing connectivity.
“Central and amenable”
Very good. Curtains aren't quite wide enough for window.
“Nice hotel”
Convenient location - close to everything in the city. Hotel has a bar, and the noise is often a problem when trying to go to sleep as you can hear the beat of the very loud music coming from it, even from where my room was on the 9th level (second from the top) - that was the only drawback. Staff were helpful and very friendly, often giving you a smile when you walked past the reception desk on the way back into the hotel and your room. When seeing the cleaning staff on the room levels, you often couldn't rouse a boo from them if you said hi, let alone a smile - they could be more friendly and willing to say hi. I think the only other issue was that there could have been a spa in the pool area, but that's forgivable. Overall, the place was rather nice and I'd be willing to stay there again.

Great cusomter service! Stayed for 4 days in October 2006. The only drawback was used coffee cups left out in my room attracted ants.
“Good choice”
Corridors a bit worn but the updated room was clean and large enough for 3. Nice rooftop open pool. Good location in town near food, good value accommodation. $3/load wash & dry was welcome surprise. Only downside was some disco function underway that bass-vibrated the entire building through my very comfortable bed until Sat dawn. Ugh. Airport shuttle.

Must say that the hotel located in a good place,just miniutes walk to everywhere like the main streets/night mkt/harbour/souvenior shops/big supermarket/information center/taxi stop etc. But remember to bring your adapter transformer if you have to use.The hotel would charge you 5 dollar if you want to borrow it from it's reception.
“Great base in the centre of Cairns”
The hotel is comfortable quiet and clean and the location is fantastic with all the amenities you would want within an easy 5 minute stroll. Also has free parking and a rooftop swimming pool.

“holiday experience in cairns”
we had a fantastic time at rydges the staff were very freindly and helpful,the rooms were extremely comfortable the cleanliness was fantastic they made our holiday very enjoyable everything was at our fingertips and if we needed anything the staff were more than willing to help i would recomend this hotel to anyone who was thinking of going on a holiday.
