“My stay at the Harbour lights”

Very nice and modern looking with fantastic service. It has a brilliant gymnasium, pool and wonderful Sauna . Only a few issues - had little tiny ants all over the kitchen and bathroom, the aircon is very very loud so you can't sleep with it on, no opening windows in the bedroom so you'll have to have the balcony open to get fresh air, the min bar fridge is full of mini bar items and don't leave a lot of room for your stuff. Also, you're right in front of the Casino so on a busy saturday night when the Casino is open till late you'll get lots of noise. I was on the 11th floor and I still heard people partying all night.

“Great location”

We found the hotel to be in a fantastic position for exploring the city of Cairns. The view from our room was lovely, across Trinity Bay and overlooking the mountains as well. The front desk staff were very amiable and helpful. The hotel was clean and fresh. Rooms were spacious, but maybe could have done with some interior design features...ie a couple more paintings on the walls. A little sparse in that area. The carpet was a little dirty in places as well. We loved the kitchen facilities and separate bedroom that we had. Overall a great stay which we would choose again.

“Great Waterfront hotel in Cairns.”

Great location on the water and near everything. We loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the water and then looking at the city lights. Kahla was so helpful in helping us decide which reef tour to do. She knew the options of the tour, and we were very pleased. Kahla went out of her way to do a personal favor for us. The beds were comfortable, but they weren't pillowtop. Everything else in the room was great!

“Not impressed”

We had numerous problems with ants. The TV was about 13" and situated in the top corner of a fairly large room?? Staff were nice, but I wouldn't say this was a 4 star room! Housekeeping was sporadic. No TP one day! Taka at the front desk is very nice and helpful! Close to boardwalk. Eat at the Waterfront Bar and Grill! The rib eye with garlic mashed potatoes are too die for!!

“Great location in Cairns”

Sebel Harbour Lights was a new hotel, clean and freah room and hotel looked impressive. Due to the hotel being made up of apartments no meals available within the hotel but was an excellent location to great restaurants. We arrived late and left early for the ferry port for which the hotel is ideal for. Only downfall was the fact that our neighbours in the next room seemed to return from a night out and have an in room party at 4am, reception were very helpful in asking them to stop but it wasn't until after 5.30 was it quite enough to sleep. We stayed on a Saturday night so maybe this is a reflection of the weekend culture in Cairns?

“Ghost Hotel”

This is not a full service hotel. There is a friendly skeleton staff only. The rooms appear to be pre-assigned so you get to check in when your predetermined room is available, not when the first clean room is ready.
