“Really recommend this hotel”
The hotel is modern with larger than average comfortable double rooms and helpful staff, which with the Expedia offer rate was extremely good value. The pool was a reasonable size although small area around with few sunbeds, so i imagine it would be difficult to get one in the summer. We found parking on nearby streets (around Cadiz)quite easily. We did not use eat at the restaurant. Breakfast is expensive and we found a small cafe for a good, but cheap breakfast, Fogon de Pepe on Divina Pastora where the server remembered what we wanted after the first 2 mornings and would bring it to us as soon as we arrived, a good start to the day. Places to eat: La Cepa de Oro is good and very close, La Cruz Blanca on Consistorio, highly recommended, but the star find was Sabores on Chancelleria, outstanding, but may need to book. All within walking distance. Hotel well placed for visiting all attractions and easy to reach by car.
“Absolutely Fabulous!”
Wow, what a lovely hotel! Stayed for 5 nights on B&B basis and the whole experience was wonderful. Cannot say a wrong word about it. Would definitely go back and would recommend to everybody.
“Wonderful Hotel in a great city”
Doesn't have bar. Very quiet in a beautiful environment. Great location.
“Very lucky three days”
Got here a day late thanks to the French air traffic controllers strike resulting in a night spent in a very wet Madrid. Arrived early the next day in brilliant sunshine, the check in was quick and the lady at the desk was very, very helpfull, going out of her way to explain it was a bank holiday weekend and what we could expect to find open and what was going to be closed. She provided us with maps and printed off train timetables for our day trip to Cadiz. The Hotel has a very quiet, airy bar overlooking the out door swimming pool. The buffet breakfast supplied anything you could want from anywhere in the world, although the water for Tea could have been hotter. The rooms are excellent, large with two sinks and a wet room shower area as well as a bath. The only problem with the room was the heat, at a certain time of year they switch the air-con off and the heating on. We were there in a warm February and the heating was still on,so ended up sleeping with the windows open. Do not let this put you off, its a lovely place to stay and very central with nothing more than 20 mins walking distance. The front end staff were brilliant and could not have been more helpfull.
“Real luxury, Spanish style.”
We all hade a great time staying at this hotel. There was a lovely pool area with very few using it whilst we were there, so we had almost private bathing. Reception staff were incredibly helpful and personable. Local amenities were great and being right next door to the Royal Equestrian school was a big plus for us. Very good value we thought for this 5 star hotel.
“Great value, accommodation and staff!”
We booked two rooms for a brief one night stay to allow us to explore the old town of Jerez and enjoy a leisurely evening part way through our holiday in Andalusia. The hotel was easy to find and located just 5 mins walk from the Old Town. The hotel was quiet when we visited and our rooms were upgraded free. The accommodation was excellent and fantastic value for money. The facilities were good and the car parking very useful! The reception staff were absolutely brilliant in that they couldn't do enough to help, whatever the request and gave some really great advice about where to visit and eat. I and my family would definitely return to this hotel as a great base from which to explore this wonderful old city.
“Excellent service at a good price”
A well appointed hotel near all facilities and attractions. Very comfortable and well maintained. The reception staff were exceptional, nothing was ever too difficult and whenever you needed assistance went out of their way to assist. Excellent buffet breakfast, well stocked with a wide variety of goods. Recommend this hotel to anyone
“fantastic hotel, near to centre”
Easy to walk to city centre from hotel, rooms comfortable, garden secluded and peaceful. Breakfast superb buffet. Tourist guide in hotel most helpful as were front desk personnel
“Useful base to explore Jerez”
This hotel was well run and clean. It is a bit curiously organised in that the Reception area and rooms are well apart from each other, but the grounds are nicely planted and well maintained. We were disappointed to find that the hotel restuarant was not operational (February), but they directed us to an excellent tapas bar nearby. The hotel has its own spa building with a gym etc, and you can book massages at reception, quite expensive, but vey good. It is easy to walk into the town centre from the hotel, about 10 - 15 minutes.
“A very welcoming, pleasant & peaceful oasis in a city centre”
My wife and I booked a 4 day mid week break in Jerez and chose this wonderful and very surprising hotel. We arrived before 12.00 mid-day and our room was ready for us. We were presented with a complimentary glass of chilled sherry on our arrival. The hotel is situated almost opposite the Real Escuela Andaluzadel Arte Ecuestre (Royal Andulusian Horse School), the Sandeman Bodega, the Atalya Palace and Clock Museum. The gardens were a picture, full of exotic trees, shrubs, plants, flowers full of colour, well tended and absolutely stunning. White storks were viewed nesting on top of a neighboring chimney. Our room was on the ground floor and overlooked the gardens, as do all rooms. Being on the ground floor we got our very own private outside garden terrace. . We seemed to be lucky that week as every day we had the swimming pool and the rear gardens all to ourselves. It was like having your own private pool, just sharing it with the swifts that played and sung around the pool all day. Unlike any other 5 star hotel you didn't feel you were constantly on ceremony and were basically left alone to enjoy your surroundings and the relaxing ambiance . At the same time you just had to ask or phone and every need was catered for very efficiently with a professional manner. After a truly wonderful and relaxing stay at the Palmera Plaza, our return flight wasn't till late. The hotel kindly allowed us to keep our room until 18.00 hours that evening. Shall we return - Try and stop us.
