Property Amenities
Self-contained timber cottages nestled in rainforest, on a stunning 300-acre property overlooking Byron Bay and hinterland. Only 5 min drive (7kms) from the heart of Byron Bay, its beaches and quaint Bangalow.
Wood-fired BBQ facilities are situated at various points around the cottages, farm and lake. There is a small laundry with washing machine and some powder supplied. The lake is suitable for swimming and there is a rowboat and canoes available free to use, with lifejackets provided. You can also try your luck fishing in the lake for Australian Bass. The cottages are rated at 3 and a half stars and have their own individual rainwater tanks for drinking water. Landscaped native rainforest gardens separate each cottage. You can spend your time wandering the farm talking to the cows or goats, meander in the rainforest, or take a walk up an old cedar cutters track to spectacular ocean and lighthouse views (This one is a favourite of ours at sunset and full moon). Being so close to all the North Coast attractions and having the peace and serenity of being in the country, we really do have the best of both worlds, Come and try it! Perfect for couples and families.

Drive 7 kilometres to quaint Bangalow with its heritage buildings, classy restaurants, cafe scene, fabulous antique and individual style shops for that unusual gift or curiosity. Fabulous Bangalow market is on the 4th Sunday of every month, in a beautiful setting in the heart of Bangalow, it has evolved into one of the "must see" markets of the North Coast.
Drive 7 kilometres to Byron Bay and the beaches. Whale watching here gets better every year. Dolphins abound, the snorkelling just off local beaches is a personal reccomendation as well. Not to mention the ever expanding shopping - the arts and industrial estate is well worth exploring while you are here.
The hills around Byron are full of galleries, cafe's, a waterfall or two. Macadamia Castle is great for the little ones. Did I mention the brilliant Byron market which is the 1st Sunday of each month.
There are numerous classic beaches for surfing, swimming or just relaxing on.
Byron has a huge range of restauarants, galleries, clubs, pubs a golf course .... the list goes on and on, something for everyone, or quiet spaces if you just need to chill.

“remote respite”
It was the perfect getaway from the crowds and the cities. It afforded the tranquility of a remote hiding place, but with cafes, beaches, and hiking all just minutes away. Add to this the hosts, who were effortlessly accommodating of our every question and request. Highly recommended.
“If you want peace & quiet & a farm setting stay here!”
I booked this accomadation because it was the least expensive online option at the time of booking. The online ads led me to believe it was a short 3 km from the town of Byron Bay. I was traveling without a car and hoped I could bike or walk to the town from the farm stay. When I arrived I realized this was not the case. I had to take a taxi from town at a cost of $25 Aus because its actually 7.5 k outside of the town and there is no bus service. I also thought the rate included breakfast but was informed it does not upon arrival. The pros are that I had a full 1 bdrm cabin in an idyllic setting. The cabin had a kitchen, outdoor BBQ and was quite lovely. The property includes a lake that is good for swimming or boating and the farm stay provides the boats. Cows were grazing outside my window in the morning and I found this place to be a tranquil haven after the bustle of Byron Bay. But- if you like to be where the action is and/or you do not have a car, do not stay here. I thought it was pricey for what it offered. (they even charge extra for sheets) I found other places in town that were less expensive with good amenities and better suited for me. This would be an ideal place for a family with children who want to self cater and experience the beautiful country around the Byron Bay area and stay on a working farm. The owners, Angela and Ivan are great and able to offer great tips on hikes and activities in the area.
