“Very happy”
Our stay was extremely comfortable and the staff were very helpful, they went that extra mile despite the fact that we arrived a couple of hours early. They looked after our bags securely whilst we went into Brisbane for a walk about and lunch. Throughout our stay of two nights they changed the sheets and towels which was over and above expectation. would definitely recommend a stay here.
“Perfect Brisbane Hotel!!!”
If you're planning on a trip to Brisbane, I can highly recommend the Medina Executive Brisbane! Our room had a spectacular view of the Brisbane River, the bridge over the river was beautifully positioned to our left and the skyline to our right. We had a balconey overlooking it all with a suite that included a kitchen and a washer/ dryer. The staff was very helpful and their food was very good. This city is very walkable and the people extremely friendly. If we could have stayed longer we would have!
“Very clean, well maintained hotel.”
The room and the whole hotel was very clean and well looked after. Very convenient to the restaurants etc along river walk and an easy walk into the Valley. We will stay there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
“Executive residence in great location”
This hotel is actually an "executive residence" so your room has a fully-equipped kitchen, a small living room area with TV, and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Very useful! The restaurant is very good, but if you prefer to cook your own meals there is a convenience store nearby. You are also just a few blocks from Chinatown, so there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
“Very good”
recommended, value for money
“If you like a REALLY firm bed, this is your hotel!”
After the friendly greeting at check-in, I went up to my room and ... no balcony as requested (and confirmed) on my booking! Called reception who rectified this within a few minutes. Really loved the view of the Story Bridge from the balcony of the new room. Room was very clean and well appointed as per Medina's standards, although the bed was WAY too firm for my liking, and I usually like a firm bed. Woke up very stiff in the morning but thought I'd leave it for a day or two before complaining. By the 4th day I decided to bring the issue up with reception who advised me that all beds had recently been replaced and all were the same firmness spec. Long story short, I didn't get much sleep for the duration of my trip. So I wonder what kind of feedback they're getting from those guests who like a softer bed?? Another first was having to request laundry detergent from reception for my in-room washing machine. I'm sure I've stayed at other serviced apartments before, Medina included, and had this as an inclusion. On the positive side, the staff were great and the service and food in the restaurant were excellent.
“Beautiful view, great walks”
From my room I had great views of the Story Bridge and the Brisbane River. Stunning at night. The bike/running path along the river (it goes on forever) is at the foot of the hotel. Head out to New Farm or you can walk to the CBD. My only complaint is the outrageous price for internet use -- $25AUD... but this is common across Australia.
“Highly recommended”
excellent facilities, superb service from staff, well priced and great quality food, but traffic noise from storey bridge the only down side but not enough to avoid a stay.
“Brisbane Hotel Shines Bright in the Moonlight”
see above. and The room was quiet and comfortable. If we were there for longer it would be an evenmore ideal location. That is, if we were there for business and needed to stay for a week or more. As it was, we were only there from about 7pm until 4;30am when we had to return to the airport to drop off our rental car and catch a flight to Cairns. It all worked out well staying there as we found the airport in time (with the help of a taxi that was headed that way and told us to follow him). Would have liked to check out the near by Chinatown restaurants but it was a walk thru a tunnel in a strange town at night. We not only wanted Chinese food, but the restaurants on the Riverwalk were not cheap. A medium size mushroom pizza was $16.00 Australian. Each pint of beer was $9.00. Both tasty. Good hotel.
“Ok, nothing great.”
"Studio Apartment": No sofa. No cooker (just m/wave). No toaster. No fridge (just a fully stocked minibar with little room for your own food. No sink in 'kitchenette' (a handwash basin). This "Studio" is really a "small hotel room with a small kitchen worktop in the corner. " Disappointing as Medina Pty are a big chain in Australia. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Balcony outside was nice but be prepared to pay for the view. Guest laundry on 9th floor was handy. Rooms with 4 metres of the lifts suffer from the constant needless "Ding" of the lift doors opening, audible from inside your room. Road noise from the Story Bridge is a problem if sat outside on the balcony. Overall poor value for money for price paid. Until they spend some money on this property, it's probably better value to find and Oaks or Quest Apartment.
