“Satisfied”
Great little hotel close to Fortitude Valley and an easy walk along the river to the boardwalk area. We had a great view over the story bridge, with a nice little balcony, and were offered a complimentary upgrade on arrival. The room was absolutely fine, clean, good double glazed windows to block out any noise. It wasn't luxury, but we new that so were 100% satisfied with the accommodation. The breakfast was also really good and came with the room. We didn't use the pool, but it did look a little small - though we didn't stay for the pool. Has a great tennis court as well.
“Average, nothing special!”
Was cheaper than other similar 4 star hotels during midweek. Don't like how you have interconencting rooms (and it looked like most of the rooms on my level where that way). Bathroom looks worn out. Average staff. Solid without being special.
“Convenient location”
Very friendly and attentive staff. Only thing that could have annoyed me was the restaurant was closed for a private function with only room service available to guests, fortunately I had other dinner plans for that night.
“Great spot”
Our tv was faulty so they upgraded us to a river view room. Great views & very quiet.
“Perfect Brisbane Hotel!!!”
If you're planning on a trip to Brisbane, I can highly recommend the Medina Executive Brisbane! Our room had a spectacular view of the Brisbane River, the bridge over the river was beautifully positioned to our left and the skyline to our right. We had a balconey overlooking it all with a suite that included a kitchen and a washer/ dryer. The staff was very helpful and their food was very good. This city is very walkable and the people extremely friendly. If we could have stayed longer we would have!
“Peter E”
A bit old, nice location
“Best in Brisbane!!!”
We had an AWESOME stay at Medina Executive. A great room overlooking the river and Storey Bridge and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The wine ws excellent. Breakfast was wonderful. Location perfect to enjoy Brisbane - a walk along the River to dine or to the city; or a walk to Chinatown. Very best value for a weekend away!!! And a bonus extra was being able to leave the car at the hotel after checking out while we visited the markets. We will be back!!
“Don't bother”
When I checked in to the hotel I was told that I was to be given a great room with a view. You can imagine my surprise when I got to the room which was tiny and the view was of a very ugly bridge which was very noisey due to all the heavy traffic! I think that the hotel is over priced and the "studio" rooms that were advertised on line were the smallest I had ever stayed in! The pillows were pathetic and the volume on the TV was down soo low you had to strain to hear it. Very disappointed!!!
“what an awesome view of the storey bridge and brisbane.”
this will definitely be the hotel we stay in every time we go to brisbane, climbing the hill to get to it was worth it.
“Superb location!”
Front desk service at the Medina was very friendly and helpful. We were given a room with a view of the Story Bridge, and the city view on the other side - quite an impressive sight to see especially at night. The blokes at the front desk even downloaded and printed some interesting sights to see while in the area. The Story Bridge is literally right outside the hotel, with many sights of Brisbane to see from. There is however, no safe deposit desk in the room, which makes it a tedious chore to sign in and out at the reception area every time you need to retrieve your items. Also, the gym has no air conditioning making it unbearable after running on the treadmill . Running on the bridge was a pleasant alternative. Definitely, we would return to this hotel.
