“Suzanne”
I think I may have been the first person ever to stay in this room - the hotel had only opened a month earlier. The room was very pleasant, with everything I could want, including an iPod dock for the main stereo system in the room, clothes washer dryer combination, etc.. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but I brought food in from nearby restaurants and food stores. The staff are all very nice and helpful, but there was a certain amount of confusion around many issues, probably due to the lack of experience since the hotel only opened recently. I suspect this will get better with time. Because it is opposite the mater hospital, there was the occasional noise of the heliport just opposite. I plan to make the Sudima Suites my usual lodging for my visits to Brisbane!
“Better elsewhere.”
Expensive for a mid range standard apartment hotel. Good location for a walk through the gardens to the restaurants, cafes,The Gabba , the Galleries of Queensland and Performing Arts Centre. Wow views from the rooftop outdoor space. Ameneties adequate but not so stylish. For example, the wonderful location and views from the rooftop falls short from the lack of furnishings and greenery. Amenities inadequate. For example, just 2 tea bags and 2 coffee sachets. No coffee for coffee maker. No iron. Front Reception service poor. We were advised that our room had a view, in fact the person's own favorite. The view was of the car park opposite.In the morning I rang reception ..no answer.....left a message. rang again 20 minutes later........no answer, left a message....no reply.
“Needs better room servicing. Need WiFi in rooms.”
The reception staff were very friendly & helpful but the servicing of the rooms was nearly non existent. I stayed 4 nights & had the towels changed once on the first morning then not again, Rubbish taken away twice and nothing else in the room cleaned or touched, extremely disappointing for the price. Location of hotel ok if you like walking which fortunately I do. I would never stay in this hotel again as there was no value for money. No reception or services available from 8pm to 7am is poor. WiFi only available in small reception area is disappointing.
