“Beautiful and Affordable Historic Inn!”

We chose the Mary Prentiss Inn largely because of its proximity to Boston and Harvard Square and the fact that its price was a bargain compared to other hotels that were rated well. What we did not realize was that our expectations would be exceeded on every level. The Inn itself was beautiful - the bedrooms, breakfast room, and sun room all possess the qualities of tasteful luxury and historic charm. Breakfast was delicious each day we stayed. It was made to order and included items like pancakes with fresh strawberries and kiwis, and eggs frittata. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were happy to store pastries we had picked up from the North End in their fridge, and most importantly they allowed us to park our car for free on the night after we had checked out (if you know Boston, parking is not easy to come by). Finally, the Inn is walkable distance from Harvard Square and is just a few blocks from the T. We loved this place and would definitely stay again!

The Mary Prentiss Inn is a lovely, historic B & B in Cambridge close to Harvard Square and Porter Square. The rooms are decorated in a lively historic manner with period pieces. Mine even had a working fireplace. They serve a complimentary full or continental breakfast each morning and tea and cookies each afternoon. Very nice stay.

“A wonderful spot of peace in downtown Cambridge”

Helpful staff, wondefull room, great breakfast. We needed breakfast about 15 minutes before the scheduled service, and it was right on time, hot and delicious.

An excellent stay with a comfortable bed, clean room. Breakfast was excellent. We plan on returning to enjoy the warm weather and tea on the flower covered patio!

“Great place to stay”

This is an extremely great place to stay when visiting either Cambridge or Boston. The room is absolutely pretty. The staffs are nice and helpful. They serve customized breakfast and nice afternoon tea. Moreover, it's pretty close to shopping center and T-station; so we can easily take the subway to Boston. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit.

“Cozy with character”

The Inn was clean and comfortable. It's located very close to Harvard and not many blocks from a T stop. It has lots of old house character without the old house smell. This is a wonderful way to preserve a piece of old Cambridge.

“Great B&B”

Great location! Convenient to Porter Square "T" and a short walk to Harvard Square. Comfortable/quaint rooms. Great breakfast in the morning! A definite FIND!!

“Comfortable, convienient place to stay”

This 20 room B&B is a warm, inviting place. The afternoon tea is a nice touch, with a fireplace in the common room and the resident cat. Parking is very tight, so call them ahead to reserve.
