“A real gem in central Bath”

A very central location, very handy for the city center which is just a short walk away. The guest house was clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. The breakfast was axcellent. I would use this establishment again. Bath is a fabulous city to visit but be sure to make enough time to visit all the attractions

“Basic but comfortable”

Great location, easy access to town centre. Smallish room, unfortunately top floor window view blocked by building's decorative railings. Very warm that weekend, and the restricted window opening contributed to it being really very hot. Had a fan, so was bearable. Imagine during less warm weather, entirely comfortable. Breakfast was generous and cooked well. Would recommend.

“Nice small hotel close to centre”

Just spent two days in Bath - the Edgar Townhouse was very conveniently situated 5 minutes walk from the city centre on a wide, fairly quiet road. Staff attention was good, breakfasts were excellent and the hotel arranges on-street parking at a very reasonable rate. Our room was quite small, but clean and tidy. Probably worth asking for a larger room if you can.

“Location, location, location!”

The location of the hotel was brilliant! It was only a 5minute walk to the main town centre and Roman Baths. You could basically get to everywhere you needed to go without the need of a car or any public transport! The staff were always able to answer our questions, the room was comfortable (although snug) and the breakfasts were very yummy (with lot's of choice). I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to see all the sights in bath, with little effort to get around. Also, the fact that car parking was availible in such a central location was brilliant, as it was much affordable to drive to Bath than to take the train. It certainly saved us some pennies! But it was the location is what won it for me!

Lovely full English breakfast, although the room was a little cramped. Very well located a short distance walk from all the main attractions in the centre of Bath.

Really great location, couldn't ask for better, pleasant staff, friendly atmosphere. No complaints at all. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Bath. Everything is on the doorstep of this lovely guesthouse.

“CONVENIENT HOTEL TO THE SIGHTS”

The Edgar Townhouse is on elegant Pulteney Street and convenient to the main tourist attractions of Bath and only 10 minutes walk, even dragging luggage, to the railway station. The room was comfortable but the furnishings seemed a little old. My room was in the basement and I'm never thrilled about that, being a bit of a claustrophobe. I imagine other rooms would have suited me better. Still, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine and there were good towels. They serve an excellent breakfast in a sunny room overlooking the street and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
