“Great hotel for train/subway, but not for walking”

Great hotel... clean, good beds, excellent showers, good size room w/ safe(though we were given an upgrade). We stayed in the Las Ramblas area for 3 days prior to this hotel, so we had seen everything in that area. This hotel is 100 yards from the train/subway system so a great location to see 'other' places (i.e. Sitges, Olympic Village, etc), but not close to good restaurants and hustle/bustle. Good value for the money, just don't plan to walk to a ton of sight-seeing areas. Subway is cheap and real easy to use.

12 minutes walk from Espana Placa, 2 minutes from Metro. New and spacious rooms, very convenient, overall. Will go back again.

“Ticked all the Boxes”

We had not travelled to Barcelona prior to this trip and we chose this hotel based upon price and Expedia Reviews. The hotel is just outside the Sants Estacio train Station which is on a direct from the Airport. The L3 and L5 metro lines can be accessed here – both lines go into the heart of the city. All of this was very convenient for us especially as we had pre purchased Barcelona travel cards. The Station is also on the popular Tour Bus route. There were four of us in our party and on arrival we upgraded, for few Euros per day, to an Executive room as the standard rooms are on the lower floors. Our friends were allocated a room at the end of the 14th floor. We had a slightly larger middle room on the 15th floor. The views were very spectacular from both sides of the hotel. Although if you have a room facing to the south-west it may be possible to see the magic fountain (can not confirm this as it was not working during our visit). Our room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel also left us one small cake, some fruit and a half bottle of 1510 Cava to acknowledge my 50th Birthday – I can only hope it will not appear on my credit card bill :) We did not use any of the facilities but they did look very nice and it’s worth a trip up to the top floor even, if like us, you find the restraint prices a bit steep. When we return to this wonderful city we would be more than happy to stay, again, at this Hotel.

Love the hotel and would suggest using the hop on/hop off bus across the street to see all of Barcelona.

Very good location near train station, easy to get to all attractions by metro, direct line to las Ramblas. Rooms are big nice and very clean staff very nice.

“Very Impressed”

We were very impressed with the hotel, the room was clean and comparitively large, with air-con and a safe. We had upgraded to a superior room, and were on the 14th floor, which was useful, as there was quite a lot of street noise. The location was ideal, next to Sants station, which gave access to the metro, and easy travel all over the city. The food in the hotel was a bit pricey, but there are plenty of reasonable restaurants nearby, and a good supermarket right at the side of the hotel. If I go to Barcelona again, I will definately go back to this hotel.

“Staff is fantastic”

All members of the staff were extremely helpful. Check in was a breeze and we were 4 hours early. The hotel was extremely clean and centrally located to the large train/metro station. Also, around the corner, and a block or two down, is a smaller metro stop which is easier to navigate. Behind the hotel are two restaurants that were nice. Nothing fancy but good food, wine and sangria.

I got there very early in the morning & was greeted by a happy smile. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful & warm. The location was excellent due to the regional train station & the subway both within a few blocks - very important for a New Yorker. I ate at both of the hotels restaurants & was very pleased. The view from Visual at night was amazing. The room was clean & everything was kept that way, although you don't know by who cause the housekeeping staff was invisible but excellent. The bed was super comfortable & I enjoyed watching TV in serveral languages. It was just an overall excellent experience & I will defintely stay here during my next visit to Barcelona.
